Hotel Coliseum — Hotel in Calafat

I stayed at the Hotel Coliseum in August, 2022 for 1 night as I was completing the EuroVelo 6 bike tour I'd started in May in France. Was really disappointed with this hotel. The shower had numerous handles and knobs to shower and I literally could not figure out how to turn on the shower as there was a rain overhead, a handheld and 6 individual sprayers all in the shower. When I turned the water on it was scalding hot and I could not figure out after numerous tries how to get the water to a cold water mix with hot water. I finally gave up trying to take a shower and did a wash in the sink. If a hotel is going to have a shower with all the sprayers and various knobs, at least have an instructiion for the guests on how the shower worked.

The hotel itself is not at all bad. A bit old fashioned but rooms are spacious and clean. Receptionists for the hotel were friendly and helpful, as far as that went, which was not far. Other hotel staff in bar and at breakfast were totally uninterested really and only added to the reasons for any lack of atmosphere . Music was played loudly from outdoor speakers until quite late and from early in morning. We didn't get we ordered for breakfast and I think you could find better elsewhere. It is a cheap night stay but think a little bit of attention to detail would...
