The bad experience starts from the hotel's parking lot, as it has only 5 places, the rest are on the side of the roads and wherever you can find a spot. Then at the reception you are greeted by untrained staff that gives you the impression you are there to steal something.. They even make you pay for the room upfront..
The rooms are ok but the air conditioning is just for show as it works whenever they want, not when you want it. We had to sleep with the windows open, otherwise it's too hot even at the start of June. And sleeping with the windows open is a nightmare as the seagulls are really loud, but fortunately they provide you with a pair of earplugs (no joke) so you can at least get a good sleep while your ears get infected..
The spa advertised on the website is just for advertising because it's not available the whole year and they don't tell you this when you book the room.. Also, be careful when you book a twin bed room, as they don't have that, even if they have it in the price list. So if you really want a twin bed you have to insist and they will separate the beds for you.
În the room there is no information booklet, so you have to guess when the breakfast starts, or remember to ASK when you book the room, as they don't tell you anything about it.
At the restaurant be sure to tell them you want the desert after the the main course, otherwise they will bring it together with your meal..
Prices are too high for what it offers, both for the room and breakfast (as it's not included in the room price) and also at the restaurant.
So overall I don't recommend it for anyone, pleasure or business, as it's an all around bad...
Read moreWe came back to this restaurant specifically for the shrimp tacos which we have tried in the past and have dreamt about since our last visit. It is truly a delicious dish with juicy shrimp and crispy sesame tortillas.
The staff was very friendly and decently fast considering that it was quite busy when we visited Hotel Imperio.
Imperio has a varied menu with plenty of tasty options. The portion sizes are impressive and also have a good value for money. The desserts are always delicious and the baklava cheesecake is a must try while here.
The only constructive suggestion I can think of is that the menu is a little bit confusing and has an outdated graphic design that does not match the fancy aesthetic of the Hotel & Restaurant and it can become difficult to read and identify the dishes. Although it is not a big deal and does not affect the actual quality of the service, it would be nice to see some high quality menu books as it represents the first interaction with the upcoming culinary experience.
To sum it up, we would definitely come back and try other stuff they offer as everything we had some far was super delicious and...
Read moreImperio Hotel is undisputedly the best independent hotel I have ever stayed in.
Due to a major work project, I have been staying here for more than 2 months at the time of writing, and it almost feels like a second home.
Laura, Nicoleta, Cristina, Andreea and the rest of the wonderful staff ensure that you will want for nothing. The rooms are clean and modern, and the restaurant has an impressive selection of dishes that all taste great. The spa and gym are also great facilities to make use of.
In summary: Do yourself a favor and stay at Imperio. You will not...
