Athos RMT Hotel — Hotel in Cluj Metropolitan Area

The people working there were very friendly and helpful, from the guys at the reception to the cleaning lady or the guy that brought the food ordered room-service.

I had food only in my room but it was tasty, maybe the water was a bit pricey at 16lei (3.x euro) for 0.75 liter of still water.

The rooms are nice and spacious, from the room that I had I could see the hills surrounding the city (the hotel is near the outskirts of Cluj) in a newly developed area.

The bathroom is good and has everything you need including a brand set of liquid soap/ shampoo / body lotion (Ritual); good towels. The shower was a walk-in type.

The bed is comfortable, there is an air conditioner, TV, a fridge (a bit noisy) and a water heater device to prepare hot water for the provided coffee/tea.

The hotel has a big parking lot with a barrier.

The only downside for me was the Internet connection. While it worked when sitting at the desk, once I went to the bed and tried to work lounged, the situation changed, the WiFi link went to 2..3 megabits (not megabytes) level which made the web browsing abysmal. I repeat, it did not worked in the bed but it certainly worked when sitting at the desk so maybe a small thumb down for the coverage.

It was a nice stay, I would certainly come again if my roads bring me...

What a lovely hotel, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. All very chatty too, lovely to have a conversation with them whilst waiting for a taxi.

The hotel and its facilities are extremely well kept. My room was spotlessly clean and had almost everything you’d need when travelling; mini bar (at an additional fee), safe, dressing gowns and slippers, coffee machine, toiletries and hairdryer. There is no iron or ironing board within the room but this is available as a service to guests. Even had a nice balcony with a view of the local area. Free wi-fi and parking on site available.

The breakfast choice is good, a wide selection of cereals, fruits and yoghurts, pastries, cold meats and cheeses, salad items and hot choices eggs, sausage and bacon. With other options available to order.

It’s my first visit and I’m for sure returning to stay here when next coming for work.

Top Notch hotel in all aspects. cordial and really nice staff, spacious and flawless room. View of all Cluj city , Fantastuc air con, super tasty bfast and restaurant dinner ( so rich and vary with products all kinds of pastramy salamy - Meats and cheeses, a rich selection, drinks, fruits, all the toppings. fresh. Wonderful. EVERYONE will find a tasty food to eat ) , parking so spacious, quietness of the hotel ,shower ( big plus for me who doesnt like bathtubs ) ||have been here several times now .its always a pleasure to return to a home you know you are...
