Pension Caramell Hotel — Hotel in Cluj Metropolitan Area

If I could give less stars I would. The owner and his wife are very rude, and we're insulting us being our backs for being American (they were speaking Hungarian, but little did they know, we also speak Hungarian and Romanian)

The room was absolutely disgusting, dirt stained walls, the ceiling was just exposed wood, no AC, dirt on the floors and carpet, and smelled like rotting meat.

The cleaning lady was caught throwing away various items from our room as well, and had to tell the front desk to make her get all our stuff back from the garbage.. The owner gave me an attitude the whole time, and eventually asked us to leave without giving us our money back for the last two days.

I payed for 5 days in advance, and was asked to leave after staying only 3 days. These people are crooks, and should be ashamed of themselves. Very unprofessional, rude, dirty...

Do yourselves a favor and find a better place to stay, I'll post pictures of the disgusting rooms. Don't be fooled by the pictures they posted online, the rooms are nothing like...

For the first time we went to this Hotel by mistake.. We loved it!!! The only thing that is not so convenient is the location, but seeing how the construction are going ahead, soon this will not be a problem anymore. After a few days in the country, we decided to get back to Cluj. We looked for other hotels more central, but after seeing 10 of them, in the end we went back to Caramell. New, clean, good taste, and very kind staff…exactly what you’re looking for when in holiday. Mi-au luat ochii cele 4 * de pe Booking dar din pacate review-urile nu reflecta realitatea. Am avut conditii mai bune in pensiuni si hoteluri mai rau cotate. Ajuns in camera ma loveste realitatea, asadar :

Am gasit faramituri de paine si seminte de ardei gras pe jos. Mobilierul invechit Vrei sa tii geamul deschis? Mult noroc sa nu te trezesti cu ceva lighioane peste tine deoarece nu sunt plase. Frigider nefunctional si mizerabil Electrocasnice antice ( nu am reusit sa folosesc mediabox-ul UPC, telecomanda ori era nefunctionala ori n-am stiut eu efectiv sa o folosesc deoarece nu a functionat nici un buton de pe ea) Cearceaful pentru pilota era patat Cabina de dus cu : a) Scurgere partial infundata ( risc sa umplii cabina cu apa care sa dea pe afara daca nu esti atent) b) Cabina de dus plina de mucegai c) Toate optiune cabinei de dus cu exceptia dusului la para sunt nefunctionale Pernele mi s-au parut de decor fiind aproape plate, am folosit-o indoita ca sa simt ceva sub cap Patul care scartaie cam la orice miscare (atentie daca vreti sa deveniti intimi ca va vor auzi vecinii) N-am dormit niciodata pe o saltea asa tare si incomfortabila Pilota de 1 persoana pe pat de 2 persoane (ne-am chinuit sa ne invelim)

A fost dragut faptul ca in camera am gasit cafea instant la pliculet, lapte, 2 batoane musli, un fierbator, zahar si caramele dar cam atat.

Am citit si am inteles ca este o afacere de familie si ma bucur ca ati reusit sa claditi asta dar va rog frumos sa intelegeti ca este nevoie de mai mult efort din partea dvs. Nu m-am simtit bine si nu m-am simtit in siguranta in camera, m-am temut pentru sanatatea mea.
