La Cer — Hotel in Constanta Metropolitan Area

After staying in 2 hotels over 5 nights, whilst trying to juggle work commitments this turned into a little piece of heaven. Yes it is poorly sign posted but a map will get you there. Costello and Elena the owners were very welcoming and friendly. Both were on holiday and run as a B&B during their time here before returning to Belgium. As I was unsure of my length of stay they allowed me to extend past 3 days on a nightly basis. The breakfast was amazing fresh fruit, meats, cheeses etc all beautifully prepared. Always had a cold beer for my return after work, and driving from the Military base is hot sweaty work. I enjoyed it on my balcony overlooking lake Siutghiol, With a nice breeze and tranquility.||||In the evening their friend Mihail and Marian ferried me back and forth to eat and nothing was a bother, anytime. So much so that once I had sourced an apartment for long term rental I continued to use them as they provided excellent service and after having a few taxis get lost it was best option.||||Overall room was great, no need for air con as you had the breeze coming in off of the lake and Black Sea further on. All other options in the Mamia/Constanta area had been exhausted and we stumbled on this one after picking up a stray internet connection on a street corner. We'd have been happy with just a bed at that point but to come across this oasis of calm was a real treat. There's no aircon, but that's about the only complaint. The access road wasn't great but that just meant it rewards only those with enough sense of adventure! A great place to stay.||They have a great view of the lake as it is at about 10 m from the house. ||You can admire Mamaia at night on the other side of the lake and the closest neighbor was as 500m so a great place to relax. We loved the food and the hospitality of the owners.||Good breakfast, it was a random pick from booking on a last minute decision but excellent||||Minus||The road to get there is pretty bad so if you have a lower car like mine, it will take you a while to get with 10km/h on the country road...
