Zen Aeroport — Hotel in Craiova Metropolitan Area

We were arriving after midnight on a flight from the UK, so decided to book a room for the night before travelling on to our final destination in Romania.||The hotel is situated quite close to the airport - not near enough to walk, but also close enough that taxi drivers do not always want to take such a small fare, especially at that time of night, when richer pickings are available on fares into the city (information received from friends locally).||We were lucky that we had a family member to collect us.||The hotel is modern with an entrance hall/reception area that is amusingly decorated in "over the top" kitsch!||However, we were given a warm welcome, despite the late hour.||Our room was clean and well appointed, with a flat screen TV. The bed, also clean, was comfortable.||The area is quiet, so we were not disturbed during the night.||Breakfast (included) was very good indeed - as there were very few guests, the buffet arrangement seemed to have been abandoned in favour of personal service at our table, with a good choice of food, all cooked perfectly.||A short, but very nice stay and a hotel we would certainly...

Landed on a early flight from the UK. Picked this Hotel because it was near the airport. Only a short ride in the taxi and into receiption. English speaking staff so a good start. Check in and straight into the restaurant for lunch. Again staff speak English and a good choice on the menue. The food is good and once eaten we go to our rooms. The rooms are at best ok, dated and hot with no air conditioning. After a short nap we again meet for an early dinner. The same menue and when the food arrives excellent. Early to bed as we all need to get up for an early flight back to the uk. The rooms are hot and with the windows open very noisy with dogs barking all night. Up easily and into the taxi for the ride back to the airport. The barking dogs were outside and chased the taxi. This hotel is ok for one night stop, but not for longer. I've stayed a few hotels in Romania and in many ways this is a typical, on the positive the food is excellent, I had Pork which was great and my business partners all had different meals, none of them disappointed. I feel that the hotel lets itself done a little in the quality of the rooms which are a bit dated. The wireless in the hotel is very intermittent so if your going on business its a point to note. The hotel is a little bit out of town and I missed the fact that I couldn't walk to another restaurant if I wanted to. The hotel has a pool and Jacuzzi which even in September was great to jump in and relax after work. Over all its a good place to stay if you are looking for a somewhere for one...
