Transylvania Log Cabins - Adult only resort! — Hotel in Densuș

I stayed there in the middle of May for two nights in the big “Heavens Cabin”. I enjoyed this two nights, because everything was very clean and the whole interior design looked very beautiful so it felt very quick very cosy. Also the equipment (knives, plates, pots, ...) was very new and good working. The only thing that didn’t work was one flame on the gas stove, but that wasn’t a problem because we could use all the other flames. I also really enjoyed the nice view from the balcony and the possibility to make a barbecue, with also good equipment. Then in the middle of June I came back to make some volunteering work and I got some “behind the scenes” insights in their work. Gabi and Rares are really nice people, for whom it is the most important thing, that the guests enjoy their stay. They are happy when you are happy. The complete design (interior and exterior) is made by themselves, such is the pool. They always think about, how they can make your stay more comfortable. For example they bought new special mattresses that adapt to your body, so that you have the best possible sleeping position. And the food they offer based on donations is made with such passion and love from Gabi. She thinks about what guest individually like and prepares the meal with a lot of effort, so that you will definitely like it. The traditional cheese and sausages they have are from a farmer nearby and the apple juice is home made. Also the coffee they serve is very high quality, fresh made and the bones are fair trade. So you will get very high quality and soul food, for which you would pay a lot more on other places (of course it is up to you how much you donate, so you can show them that you liked it). HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Worst experience I’ve had with an Airbnb location. We’ve been through all of Europe and never experienced anything like this. I wish I’d seen an honest review before booking. It’s a marketing scam.

All in all, we got: hotel prices for your GRANDMA’S OLD HOUSE. The ground floor SMELLS BAD FEW & OLD APPLIANCES in the “fully equipped” kitchen (coincidentally there is no picture of it on airbnb) ZERO PRIVACY with all the cabins almost next to each other in this so called “resort” NO CARD PAYMENT at the cafe because supposedly they can’t afford a POS machine You are NOT ALLOWED TO BRING YOUR OWN FOOD AND DRINKS at this CABIN in the pool area RUDE OWNER busy in the pool with her friends. She started COMPLAINING RIGHT AWAY about people not respecting the rules (major red flag) and demanded we read the instructions manual. Harassed us over our swimsuit style. She also warned us aggressively ABOUT THE ONE BEER we brought to the pool area. A beer which we didn’t buy from her CAFE (not bar). She later said it was dangerous for the guests if you don’t buy the drinks from her. Unbelievable. In the bathroom they even had A SIGN WARNING YOU NOT TO USE TOO MUCH WATER because they already bother to use a lot to wash just one towel (it gets RIDICULOUS at this point) Costs like a hotel but there was not even a small shampoo bottle or one time use flippers). All these greedy owners care about is profit.

We were outraged by this HUGE RIPOFF and total lack of respect and we didn’t even spend the night. We left right away and were very disappointed to say the least.

I cannot rave enough about the incredible place I recently had the pleasure of visiting. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was met with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The owners are some of the kindest and most sociable people I have ever met, and they go above and beyond to make sure every guest feels welcome and satisfied.
