The place is huge and very nice atmosphere with the ponds, water streams, trouts and vegetation. The fun part stopped here for us. The menu mostly has dishes expressed in weight, even basic ones like chicken fillet, so you fi not know what you get and what you pay. We waited 10 minutes to get the order taken. Then, a girl (under 14?..) came and brought the first dish , balmos. We asked for additional fork and plate. She said yes, did not come back. Then a 14 year old boy came to bring the trout dish. There was no polenta as in the menu and I saw the same at other tables. We asked about this, he had no idea, he said he will bring the polenta. Polenta did not appear, the boy was gone forever for us. And only at the end we found out that the polenta and sauce are extra (not clear on the menu and I was told that sauce is included) and that lady had suggested to exclude polenta because we took a balmos, so the polenta was not charged. It was a misunderstanding, but not possible to resolve it in due time. Beyond the bad service, how can they hire kids like this, is there some authority checking the situation?.. The food was ok, big portions, but trout is very expensive, goes to 60 ron a portion. We stayed with the empty plates in front for 20 minutes and we had to shout to get the attention to ask for the bill. We would not return to this place given the way they...
Read moreLocation, design/concept and food ... AMAZING! Sadly they are short of (qualified) staff throughout the summer so they have to employ and use the young and hopeful local teenagers to serve...🤷 I mean .. don't get me wrong! That's fine! But to give you an idea of what I mean; on the day I arrived there a group of 3 of those teenagers managed to drop a full of fish wheelbarrow (that's what they use to transport the freshly caught fish from the ponds around the outside onto the main road and through the car park into the kitchen) right on the tarmac ,in the middle of the main national single carriage road !! So there we were, astonished, witnessing them young boys picking the fish up whilst traffic was slowing down and driving around with drivers looking amused about the whole scene ... Needless to say all of that fish was saved and made it into the kitchen...and on our plates eventually!? 😂😎 I don't know if I ended up eating one of them fish 30 mins later.. I couldn't tell 😂😂 But that is the kind of downside of employing young inexperienced and giving them tasks which are normally given to fully qualified or experienced employees! Tasks which overwhelm them young ones or their skills obviously! 🤷
Visited again last night.. Food was nice and it comes in BIG PORTIONS!! 😁💪👍👍👍 So BE AWARE OF THAT!!!

Read moreRooms: very clean, comfortable. But: stairs not finished (still the concrete), not very safe because they didn't have a handrail. A mini fridge would have been very useful. Service: very nice people there, but very busy. I hope they are paying them as they deserve, some ladies were cleaning the rooms in the morning and serving at tables in the restaurant in the afternoon until later in the evening. Location: great! Very beautifully thought. Though the waterfall is not natural, the water is artificially brought through tubes and falling from a concrete platform (above). It was worth the stay only for that very nice arrangement of the area. Food: great breakfast, which was included in the price of the room. The food we payed for - less than mediocre. The fish either too salty, either toi fried. The potatoes (they say traditional) were too brown (on all tables, so it wasn't an accident), I put it on frying them in this o much used oil, not very pleasant really. The "polenta" was a little raw. Minuses not depending on the location: on the opposite hill is another location with a pool (pă Coastă) where, in one of the nights, they played really bad music until very late...
