The host seemed nice in the beginning but very rood at the slightest inconvenience. They have many rooms, but just a few parking spaces. Although we parked in a clearly marked spot, she yelled at me, saying that it doesn't matter how it's marked on the pavement, I should've parked on the opposite side or in the street. She was very aggressive, accusing me, but not assuming her own error. At a point, new tourists came in to talk to her, but she kept yelling at me. I couldn't stay in that place anymore so we left and went somewhere else.
The food was very low quality. My son didn't touch it, and I only ate the tomatoes because everything else had a bad taste. The room was clean, but the bed sheets didn't smell fresh at all. I had the feeling that someone slept in them before us. The lights next to the bed weren't working, and the one on the ceilings han a very small light bulb. It was more of a night light for children than a proper light for a room. I had to use the flashlight from my phone for reading. Later on, I found out that the lady is trying to be very economical with everything.
On the plus side, the hallway and the stairs are beautifully cared for. But this doesn't compensate for the rest of the inconveniences.
Location: There is no green yard as seen in the presentation photos! The large road in front of the pension is extremely loud, so if you're looking for a quiet place,...
Read moreThis is very easy to find as it is on the main road to Hunendoara. If there is a criticism it is that it is a little in the middle of nowhere and you will need to have access to a car to get to any of the sights. I tend to be a bit wary when the hostess makes such a warm welcome and think that it might be a bit false or fake to get a good review, but in this case the warmth was genuine even if at times there was a little bit of a language barrier. Her daughter was the one who spoke very good English but she was not there all the time. The room was really nice, clean and comfortable and looked out onto a rear courtyard, so not close to the road. On the ground floor is a very well stocked bar from which we were served a complimentary glass of the local plum brandy. Breakfast was excellent, cooked to order and all attended by our hostess who was so warm and friendly whenever and...
Read moreLocation is perfect when you want transit or to visit the region Tara Hategului. Easy to find but not many parking spots inside. Rooms were clean, big, we had Ac in every room. Breakfast included average. For the rest of the meals we went elsewhere by car. Because it is right next to a big road you cannot walk by the road with kids because there is no sidewalk and trafic is intense. Also no playground there just a small court with grass and a grill. Kids got bored easy so we had to go by car every day elsewhere but for transit...
