Hostel Ruxandra — Hotel in Focșani

First, Hotel confirmation said they handled all types of payment. But they insisted on cash payment. I ask that I pay next day before checking out (to exchange some money to Romanian Lei, I had arrived in the night), they said no, I must pay now. Why? Some customers went without paying, they said. But you have my credit card details that guarantees my payment. No. Now! Next, they tried to overcharge me, saying 100 Lei were worth 30€ (they're worth less than 21€)... Gladly, some customers arrived and took my side. They agreed on 22€. Third, while under the shower, I ran out of hot water. I had to get down to the GF to tell them about it all wet and with soap in my hair. They rectified the problem (some valve was closed somewhere). They came back to say it's fixed. I said "Sorry". They replied "ok". I said "it's you who should say "Sorry". Rude. Very rude. Fourth, No English, no elevator, no Handrail ( between the GF and the first, the handrail was out of it's fixing... Gladly I didn't fall and break something) Fifth, not central. 15 min Walk to Center Fifth, I repeat, the receptionist was rude......

Am făcut programare cu câteva zile înainte , eram in trecere cu soția ieșită din spital după o operație , si am cerut expres sa fie căldură ! Am ajuns pe la 8 seara si in cameră foarte frig , am întrebat de căldură si mi sa zis ca probabil inca nu a pornit căldura dar in curând se va activa si va fi cald ! Ca să nu stam in frig am plecat la un restaurant să mâncăm ceva si când am revenit la ora 10 noaptea , in perioada asta este demult întuneric , era la fel de frig😭😭 ! Am sunat să întreb de căldură si au zis că inca nu sa pornit căldura pe oraș ( in ideea in care miau zis ca va porni centrala lor) atunci am întrebat dacă ne pot da măcar un reșeu si au zis ca nu au ... după un teatru întreg abia abia mi-am recuperat banii si dăi si cauta altă pensiune la 10 noaptea ! Nu vă mai zic cât de greu mi-am recuperat banii ...deci nu...

Big rooms, only a 15 minute walk from the city centre. Great pizza place round the corner and an Italian patisserie shop down the road too. Friendly owners of the hotel who were smiley and gave us a coffee before we departed! I would recommend...
