Casa Oltenească — Hotel in Golești

Stoped at this place on our Romania road trip. As the rest of the family was a little bit nervous about developing hunger, I stopped and we got in. ||What a mistake!||As waitresses were nice to us, food was a BIG unpleasant surprise. ||First I got grilled pork ribs, that was, well, very fresh.||And then the rest of the family got litterally raw porkchops, and grilled chicken, that, if it would had a head, would cluck!||Their special potatoes looked and tasted like something made for the owner of that porkchop when it was still alive!||We finished our meal in that moment. ||Waitress billed us for everything, without even a blink. I guess they are already used to this. Hat down to the owner for well training them!||My only regret is, that I had not taken the leftovers to feed the hungry dogs on our way forward.||At least that would have...

I am still a bit confused. The food’s taste was ok until the moment we found 2 little cockroaches in our soup. Maybe the ‘extra protein’ gave the soup that interesting taste. The waiter forgot about our salad, but he charged it and yeah, prices are a bit too high even though it’s classical Romanian cuisine (which is considered to be worth it). The chicken was almost raw and the ‘golden potatoes’ weren’t that golden as they were excessively oliy. Dezgustator este putin spus! Servicii de o calitate foarte slaba. Curatenia lasa de dorit din orice punct de vedere. Arata si miroase mai rau decat intr-o magazie, cu siguranță nu arata ca si un Motel ce se vrea a fi de 3 stele. Covorul total îmbâcsit si plin de mizerie, pe jos si la pervazul geamurilor erau fluturi de molii si albine moarte, praful nu mai era praf ci un mare strat de jeg, draperiile patate si imbacsite de praf cu un miros oribil, panze de păianjen la orice colt al camerei, baia dezgustatoare plina de mal si cu niste conditii primitive, lenjerii de pat rupte si descusute, iar in dulap zaceau o pereche de sosete imbacsite. Seara cand ne-am intors la asa zisul motel, supriza…Motelul avea absolut toate usile de acces inchise. Dupa 1 ora de asteptat pe langa usi ( la 1 noaptea si cu un copil), zeci de telefoane date pe numerele lor de contact a răspuns cineva la telefon si am asteptat inca 20 de minute pentru a veni sa ne deschida usa. Pot intelege daca Motelul isi incuie usile de acces la o anumita ora, dar este crucial si de bun simt sa anunți oamenii. Practic am platit o cazare pentru a ne petrece noaptea prin fata cladirii, si apoi incercand sa dormin intr-o asemenea incapere. Se cere a fi un Motel de 3 stele, dar conditiile si serviciile sunt de maxim 1 stea. Pacat de locatia unde este amplasat si de lipsa respectului vizavi de cei ce le calca pragul!...
