La Conac in Bucovina — Hotel in Gura Humorului

The food was good and all right, and everyone enjoyed it, especially due to the fact that we were also very hungry, but this situation was made very unpleasant and complicated by our server treating us with a very rude and dismissive attitude.

Unfortunately customer service and basic formalities have not reached this place as our waitress could not be bothered as she was taking our order, constantly getting our order wrong as she was repeating it back to us and despite constant correcting from our behalf. It’s also worth noting that after all the times correcting her, when she finally repeated the order she got it wrong yet again (shocker), however when we corrected her she was very reluctant to change the order. Whilst I understand that proficiency in technology isn’t everyone’s forte, nor do I hold it against anyone and more so encourage everyone trying to keep up and improve themselves, changing the order to something we actually want I believe is kind of the whole point of eating out. A good choice to eat, no matter of the time. Very nice and tasty food. Takes quite some time to order and to get served.

The room was nice and daily cleaning service was ok. Our room was cooled by an air-co machine. The view was great (we had the room with the view to mountains, not to the road we got there).

Kids playground is nice and quite safe. Extra points for the rabbit and chickens near playground.

SPA is nice, there us a tunnel to go through if you are checked in next building. The salt water tub/bowl should be "guarded" by some hotel employee because some guests need to be reminded of the 30mins limit to stay in salt water tub.

Overall a very nice place to stay and relax, not perfect though. Some minuses we noticed: shower in bathroom was low quality, we could not order limonade because some tools in kitchen broke, lack of waiters.

The place is very nice with high potential to be great. It is located close to the forest, it’s quiet, rooms are big enough and clean, they have very nice playgrounds (interior and exterior), a spa and massage service (Kudos to Cosmin for the professional massage!). There are some things that bothered us mostly regarding their hospitality, like no drinking water at the spa, quality of the breakfast is not so great, the juice is not fresh and low quality, yogurt was expired, bread at breakfast is not the same quality as the one in a La carte, the restaurant service is random, we had to wait for 30 mins one day for a waiter to talk to us although the restaurant was not crowded and we were with a little kid.
