OM Resort — Hotel in Gura Teghii

I have been here in June 2025 for a night stay with some friends and we we're pretty pleased by everything we found there.

The location is just amazing. It's very remote and quiet. The main cabin isn't that big, however they have a big backyard with several fire places and a small beach area by the river.

Take note that there aren't any shops nearby! You must do your groceries in a nearby city.

They have a small fitness room (but with limited equipment). However, there are other activities you can enjoy in the area.

They have a Hot tub outside for about 8 persons. We tested it and it was a great experience, especially after an evening at rafting on the Buzău River.

The food is very good. They have an open buffet at Breakfast (9:00-11:00) and Dinner and you have plenty of options (considering it is a small cabin and not an all inclusive hotel). You can ask them to leave the food from dinner to be served up to midnight (or later) if needed.

At lunch you have only a Meal of the Day option. If you like what they're serving, great. Otherwise you'll have to find other options nearby. We were ok with what they served so it just depends on preferences.

The specialty coffee is included in the breakfast price and it is pretty good.

You can ask them to organize a fire place fpr you if you want. We've done our own at one of the dedicated fire places.

The rooms I felt were a bit on the small side and lacking in some essentials like a small fridge or some wardrobes to put my clothes.

The staff was ok. I didn't interact much with them (more with the bartender which was also the house barista).

This place is an oasis of peace in the middle of nature. You can enjoy the river passing trough the back yard while you rest on a swing or hammock.

If you are the active type you have a plethora of activities you can choose from ranging from less challenging ones, like a simple walk trough the woods, to more testing ones like rafting and via ferrata.

The rooms are very clean and cosy giving you a nice view of the surroundings.

The staff is very nice and welcoming.

Regarding the food, you also have vegan options you can pick from. Also an “all you can eat dinner” where you can choose from a variety of delicious dishes, drinks also included. 🫶🏻

We liked the location and the facilities. The food was also very good. Cocktails with home made ingredients and the evening bar experience is 10/10.

Disliked · I didn't like that I tried contacting the owner or the reception a full day before arrival and nobody bothered to answer the phone. Once they have confirmed our reservation (they called us by phone) there is no one and no way to reach if there is any questions or anything you need. Nobody answers any phone number on their website, google page, booking or their main website. It's like nobody cares's if you need anything or if you have...
