Read morePositive aspects:||- the rooms are of good size, the furniture is of good quality, clean, the bed is comfy and you have air conditioning.||- the location is somewhat outside the city which makes it quieter an relaxing but it is therefore suited if you have a car or do not mind taking cabs to the city (it costs less than 20 RON to get to the city center and finding cabs is not an issue)||- the hotel is part of a large complex with several event halls and it is therefore suited for accommodating guests for such events||- the entire complex is well thought - you are not disturbed by the other events neither while attending a specific event or while in the room.||- there are terraces where you can serve drinks and meals||- the hotel has a good list of services available (pool, sauna, ironing, sports courts)||- the food is good||||Negative aspects:||- there was a minibar menu in the room but the fridge (which was not running) only had water in it.||- the shower was not properly cleaned (lots of mineral deposits)||- the personnel is not very helpful...every time I needed something I felt like I had to convince them to help me. Examples: || - in the room there is a pizza menu so I called to order one. They told me I had to go to the restaurant to order..I asked why and they said that they cannot read the entire menu on the phone..they did not know that there is a menu in the room. || - there was a safety deposit box in the room which was not functional. We called the first evening to notify this and it was not fixed the next day. Furthermore, the personnel working the next day shift had no idea of this issue.||||Overall, the complex is nice and the rooms are comfy. If more focus would be put on customer care, my review would have a...
If you're invited for a wedding in Iasi which takes place in one of the 4 or 5 restaurant-saloons-events-hall of Capitol Hotel, then you're perfectly set for a good, restful sleep after. If not taken into consideration the chlorine smell, heat and vapors at first floor coming from the swimming pool at the ground floor, then you could really enjoy the fact the hotel is heated in a rainy cold October night. Pay attention or ask the receptionists about the children's swimming lessons that take place on Sunday mornings. It is possible not to enjoy quite a quiet swim all alone, neither have a quiet coffee in the lobby, where is the entrance to the pool. A bit opulent through the massive investments in the solid wood furniture and marble and stones, it's much beautiful inside then outside. The rooms are spacious, clean and newly equipped. Beside the fact that is located outside the town, in the direction of Vaslui, in not such a remarkable environment. Breakfast was not included in the price of the room, not that I had the chance to see where you could...
Read moreThe hotel is known as event location and therefore has several ball rooms. Very comfortable bed. The food served on the terrace was good. It is quiet, only the room doors are noisy....||The hotel itself is rather old fashioned and would need a renovation. Also, in the shower hot/cold water handles are mixed up. What I found cumbersome, breakfast is "à la carte", consequently each item needs to be ordered from the menu which includes long waiting times for the dishes to be prepared (even for a simple order like toast and jam). A small buffet with hot items to order would be much...
