Pensiunea Mirage — Hotel in Iași Metropolitan Area

This year we decided to take a road trip to Romania and chose to stay at various guest houses (called “pensiune”), being told that these places are quiet compared with big hotels. Our choice was based on reviews found on Trip Advisor and other sites. Were they right? Let’s see our real life experience.||Strong points: ||1. Location – Good, if you want to be located outside the city of “Iasi”||2. Room and bathroom: large and with sort of nice design. Big balcony.||3. Fire extinguishers available.||4. Wi-Fi working.||5. Best moment: When we left.||Limitations:||1. This pensiune is located on the owners property, being around other owners’ buildings. The view you get from the balcony is just of the other buildings or the road.||2. Not a friendly place, you do not feel welcome. Some of the family members did not even respond to our morning greetings, you feel like you are an intruder and you are there just to pay them some money. They do not give a royal “S&&T” about the people supposedly keeping them in business.||3. There is a hall at the ground floor, with tables and chairs, probably for the family members and their friends. You have to walk through this hall in order to get to your room. Be aware, it is full of children toys on the floor and empty beer bottles on the tables. We would have loved to eat a breakfast there, especially given that this place is not in the middle of the city, but we were not offered anything. Not even a glass of water on an extremely hot day (about 40 C). Needless to say, no coffee either.||4. No fridge in the room.||5. Far from the city centre, but you are aware when you book. The only option to get to the city is a minibus, which comes every hour. However, to get back from Iasi, there is no marked bus stop (known only by locals), no queue for the bus and people push in front of you to claim on the bus. Shameful! You are just a piece of meat… Better to choose a place in Iasi, if you want to visit it!||6. Cleanliness – so and so. Nobody came to clean it during our stay, nothing was provided. Nobody told us where the bin was. Fortunately, on the main road, there were some containers for papers and plastic materials and we walked there with the respective rubbish.||7. Quietness: a true nightmare. The owner family had a party exactly the night we arrived, until 4 am. Very noisy place, screaming and shouting. When booking, I expressly inquired about quietness and we were told this was the perfect place. Really, huh? ||8. Nothing much to visit in the area, just the monastery Barnova, which we tried to go to, but the road led us to nowhere. Nothing was indicated. ||Conclusion: Step away when you see this name. Do not even think to go there, there is no point. Unless you want to become...

Very nice location...quiet... beautiful surrounded by nature forest...clean fresh air...pet friendly ...your pets will love it...kids friendly... ideally for staff parties and the host are unbelievable friendly ...people that will do everything that you to enjoy your stay and is Worthing every second of your stay do enjoy the nature...still pretty close to town... doesn't matter that you travel for business or leisure with work colleagues team building or just friends you will love the location...I fully recommend to all people that want to try unbelievable experiences on a pretty decent...

Громко говорю всем: Не посещайте этот отель: он принадлежит лживым и беспринципным людям, для которых честь и деловая репутация просто пшик и ничего более. Забронировали этот отель заранее,два номера,через Вооking.com, получили подтверждение на электронку. Ехали компанией, 4 человека. По приезду поздно вечером в отель нас ждало огромное разочарование: "милая" барышня с ядовитой усмешкой сообщила нам, что никаких номером нам никто не даст, т. к. их просто никто не бронировал. Никакие письма-подтверждения, личные переговоры с горячей линией Booking.com в лице девушки по имени Мирослава никоим образом не повлияли на ночную "хозяйку" отеля: оказалось все просто: наши номера были отданы двум парам молодых людей, которые тут-же с чемоданами сидели и ждали заселения в наши номера. Препирательства длились долго-на улице ночь, город незнакомый. Ткнулись в несколько других отелей: мест нет, необходимо предварительное бронирование. Итог: четыре взрослых человека ночевали в автомобиле. Помощь от Booking. Com никакая, воздействия на несправедливость не произошло, помощь и содействие...
