Hotel & Restaurant Coroana — Hotel in Ion Neculce

Coroana Restaurant stands out as one of the few places where you can enjoy a decent meal in the area. Despite some of the other reviews I've seen mentioning long waiting times, I understand the challenges that come with running a restaurant on a budget, especially as someone familiar with the hospitality industry.

From my experience, the wait was worth it. The meal was well-prepared, flavorful, and satisfying. It’s clear that the kitchen puts effort into delivering quality dishes, even if it means taking a bit more time.

While I can see how the wait might be a point of frustration for some, I found that the overall experience made up for it. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. If you're looking for a place where you can have a good meal and appreciate the nuances of restaurant operations, Corona is a solid choice. I certainly enjoyed my time there and would recommend...

Had dinner at the restaurant. Expected the thousands of reviews to be a sign of something special, but are more than likely bought.

Overview:

Capacity 150, 20 people serving at 19:00. Almost empty.

Restaurant aspect : 20 years old and kitchy with poor quality furniture. But clean.

Servers : bored, not smiling. Fingers in salads while being served is a clear sign of lack of professionalism.

Food. And this was my redeeming hope. But it failed.

For 208 Ron, (42 Euro) two people did NOT enjoy a main dish, salad and juice. Extremely overpriced for low-average quality.

Nice outdoor terrace, lost of space. Nice ambiance. Just don't understand the megabig tv screen. Nobody is watching. My table. Used ashtray on the table. And then... When you order pork, I suspect you'll gét pork?? . I got chicken. Called the waitress, she looked at me and then walked away. The chicken smelled good ánd tasted good, I was hungry so I decided to eat it. Food is good. When I asked for the nota, she brought it..... And walked away...again! I made the payment at the reception. No tip...
