Helen Hotel — Hotel in Măgura

While I went a couple of times to the restaurant of the hotel, it's the first time I booked a room for the night. Perfect is a not enough of a word to describe it. You're greeted by a smile right when you enter in the big lobby and everything smells good. The receptionist informs you the breakfast is from 7.30 and you sigh and say you need to leave before that, she assure's you the kitchen will be ready for you even at 7 if needed.||The elevator, while being 10 yo, works as new. The hallway has rustic accents and did I mention the good smell?||And then you enter the room, big for the country standards, with a immense double bed and a sofa, everything looks clean and welcoming. To top it all, you have a view to the forest and the city in the valley.||The bathroom was clean, with no mold nor rust in the shower cabin.||To sum it all, I loved it, it complements the restaurant perfectly and it's obvious the hosts work a lot to keep this...

Quite big and extremely comfortable hotel, close to Bacău city. We prefer it on every trip to this area because of the huge rooms, the park surrounding the hotel and the spa facilities they have. They also have a traditional restaurant with a big terrace where you have a lot of food and drinks alternatives. The restaurant is pretty expensive, but the food is good. Unfortunately, they still have issue with the services: Yesterday afternoon we got back to the hotel at 17.00 and our rooms hadn't been cleaned yet, the staff were still working on the floor. Coffee at breakfast is quite bad and if you ask for the 2nd coffee, they are not very pleased that you drink so many coffees :) Access to swimming pool is not for free for hotel guests, which is very unusual and also the staff is not letting you know in advance that you have to pay almost 15eur for...

I didn’t need to stay at the hotel as I could have stayed with my family nearby - but I chose this hotel because I needed air conditioning in the room to be able to have a good sleep at night in the 30 degree heat, my 2 year old was especially not used to the heat. All the staff at the hotel we met were wonderful and tried their best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately I spoke to reception 2 times about the air conditioning not working in my room - they said that someone is coming to check the air conditioning next week, but that didn’t help me at the time and the broken air conditioning meant I wasn’t able to sleep. I’m not happy that I wasn’t informed when I checked in that the air conditioning in my room wasn’t working as I specifically asked for a room with air...
