Pension Valentina — Hotel in Mănăstirea Humorului

Stayed at Cabana Veronica for two nights, August 2015. It is a Pension (the owner calls it a cottage in the woods, in Romanian=Cabana) slightly remote from the others in Manastirea Humorului. A countryside road takes you from the main road to the Pension, located on a hill in an amazing quiet and open location. For visiting Gura Humorului, Falticeni and surroundings it is a great place to stay. We were four people, my wife and myself and our two daughters, 17 and 14. We had two rooms. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Everything is new and shiny. The view from the rooms of the Bucovina's hills is amazing. The Restaurant furniture and arrangement is typical Bucovina, reminding me of the old days. So is the food, the breakfast is excellent with the famous Bucovina cheese and the Romanian traditional roasted eggplant salad. The staff was helpful and provided us all information we needed. The Wi-Fi connection needs some improvement which we were told will done in a short time. We definitely recommend...

We had a lovely time at Pension Valentina. It was quiet and the perfect location with mountain view. The rooms were clean and spatious, nice flat TV and really impressive hairdryer. I liked the bed but it was too soft for my husband's back. The people there were so kind and helpful,they found a solution for our every problem, they even borrowed us a thermometer we needed for our child. The waiter made us feel at home by being polite and nice at the same time,he really managed to create a super friendly and relaxed atmosphere.||The breakfast was really good for someone who likes meat, but a little short of options for vegetarians. ||All in all, we had a great time and we look forward to going...

Design: this guesthouse looks like a swiss chalet on the outside and the interior is a wonderful mix of traditional & modern elements. ||||Rooms: are very clean & cosy, with a big balcony and all the comfort you need. Loved the shower. The only downside we could find was the fact that we could hear the footsteps from above. ||||Food: regular homemade Romanian food, very tasteful, a little unhealthy though.||||Location: close to the monastery, quiet & secluded place.||||The host was the owner of the place.
