I'm making an effort to write about every hotel we stay at in Romania because there's not a lot of reviews on TA for the out of the way places and small villages, where the charm of Romania is.|| This place is in Moecui de Sus, not in Brasov as the address says.||We found it when we went to the village for the Eco Marathon. We didn't have a hotel reservation so we drove though the village looking at all the offerings (there's a lot of pensions and hotels in this small village), this was the best looking one, is a short walk to the village center and it has a restaurant attached. The owner was friendly, spoke good enough English, let us check three or four rooms and take our pick, and also let us have a very late checkout the next day so I could shower after the marathon. ||The building is a real log cabin, a few years old and very charming. The rooms are clean and nice sized, nice bathrooms. Our room faced to the front and had a balcony, and cost 100 lei (about $30). The restaurant is good, with traditional Romanian fare. Meals, including breakfast are extra and very reasonably priced. ||The village itself is beautiful! It's set in a Y shaped valley, with plenty of hiking trails on the hills surrounding it and great views of the distant mountain ranges.||||Overall, we were very satisfied with the hotel and will definitely stay there...
Read moreWe stayed at Casa WiaRusti a few years ago, and remembered having a wonderful time, and loving their restaurant. So this week-end we went to eat there again, in search of some good food. We entered and sat at the table for about half an hour without anybody coming to say hello to us, bring us menus, or ask us anything. At some point (about 10 minutes in) I managed to grab the attention of a waiter, who said will be right over. But he didn't show up again until much later, when he came to a group who had just sat down at a nearby table, and told them they are no longer serving any food. He didn't bother to tell us anything (maybe just two people weren't worth the bother?), but at that point we just got...
