We reserved and paid for a deluxe panoramic room, according to the information on the website, with an area of 30 square meters, situated in a corner, and only 6 rooms available. However, we received a double panoramic room of 25 square meters. They tried to convince us that we had paid for this type of room. We had no one to discuss this with, received no apologies or financial compensation, despite having everything in writing, including screenshots, which were sent to the relevant authorities.||At check-in, we were assigned room 108, which was not the type of room we had paid for and, additionally, was located above the kitchen. It had a persistent smell of frying/food, something rather "divine." I'm leaving this review with the room number so that the reception staff can no longer claim that it's the first time customers have complained about this issue. We politely informed them that we needed to change the room, or else we would return to Bucharest. They gave us room 310, a double panoramic room, not the deluxe panoramic room we had paid a deposit for, where we had a "lovely" view of some tanks and the back part of the kitchen. We would have left, but the child was tired, and we agreed to stay in that room, trying to find a solution with the reception. Eventually, a refund of the price difference between the two room types and the customary apologies were expected from them.||In addition:||ROAD|It's important to note that the hotel is not located in Sinaia, as it appears on other accommodation platforms. The hotel is in DAMBOVITA, a 50-minute drive from Sinaia, with many winding and narrow roads, not in good condition in the last part.|RESTAURANT/RECEPTION DESK FRONT|The restaurant is nicely decorated, but the staff leaves much to be desired. The restaurant prices are very high for the quality offered. The food is of very poor quality, and the children's menu includes frozen potatoes. You need a reservation; On the evening of our check-in, we asked at the reception if a reservation was required for the restaurant, and we were told that it was not necessary. On the second evening, we went for dinner around 18:40. In the restaurant, there were approximately 3 occupied tables, about 15% of capacity. No restaurant staff was present at the entrance, so we entered and sat at one of the tables, the same one we had occupied the night before. In less than 2 minutes, a waiter arrived and, in an impolite tone, asked if we had a reservation. We told him no, explaining that during check-in at the reception, we specifically asked if a reservation was needed, and were told it was not necessary. Furthermore, none of the tables had any reserved signs; otherwise, we wouldn't have dared to sit there. They offered us a table for 2 people, while we were 3... I refused to stay in a place where we were treated so poorly, especially considering the cost of 300 euros per night. We went to the reception, reported the issue, and requested to speak with the manager. We were told that the manager would be available the next day after 12:00. They showed disinterest in resolving the situation, no apologies, nothing, so we requested to check-out. We asked for a refund for that night, stating that we were willing to pay an additional fee for a late check-out. But yet another lie: that they don't operate in that way, that they have had requests, the hotel is fully booked, and there's no room to rent. They claimed to have turned away clients because there were no available rooms. Surprise! We immediately checked one of the most well-known accommodation platforms and found numerous available rooms. We took screenshots and forwarded them to the authorities.||ROOMS||CAUTION! There are discrepancies between rooms. Accessing from a PC versus accessing from a mobile device. We made the reservation based on accessing the website from a mobile phone. |We reserved DOUBLE DELUXE PANORAMIC ROOM with 30m2, but they told us that on their website, this room is called "King Deluxe Panoramic," which has 30m2 :-)))) However, we accessed again the website from our mobile device, and we informed them that the type of room they mentioned does not exist. The one with 30m2 is the "Double Deluxe Panoramic Room." Because we acted in good faith and tried to resolve the situation, we even sent them a video showing how the rooms appear on mobile. Room categories on their website:|Double Room with Mountain View|Panoramic Double Room|Deluxe Double Room with Panoramic View – clearly states 30 m2 and shows a picture from the corner|Junior Suite|Deluxe Suite|Even after presenting all these pieces of evidence, they still refused to resolve anything.||The 25-square-meter rooms are small, lacking a designated space for the children's bed, for which you pay 250 lei per night. The children's bed doesn't fit at all between the two pieces of furniture and is squeezed into the passage area, making the room "Instagrammable."||STAFF|The staff is rude, lacking respect towards customers. I am referring to the Romanian, not the Asian staff, which, from our perspective, does the best job, especially in terms of cleanliness or spa services, even though the room was not cleaned from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm, despite placing the 'make up room' sign.||SPA|The pool is very small for the hotel's capacity, resembling more of a jacuzzi :-))). The sensory area was very good. The relaxation area is small compared to the hotel's capacity. The two massage rooms are not designed to provide tranquility. Children's screams from the pool area can be heard, the doors are translucent, and every time someone passes towards the bathroom, you can see the light turning on in the hallway. However, despite these issues, the massage technique was very good, and the Asian staff was excellent.||Considering that this hotel is located in a remote area, 50 minutes away from SINAIA, they take advantage of people who have no other options nearby. So, think carefully before visiting this hotel. In this area, options are limited, which is why customers are treated poorly.||Just to clarify, the manager has not contacted us until now to offer apologies or to seek a resolution to the problem! This says a lot about how they treat their customers! ||Lies know no bounds, just like common courtesy and respect towards the customer. ||We wouldn't visit this hotel even for free! ||Don't fall for influencers and packaged stories!...

Great retreat, far in Bucegi mountains where you can have the comfort and pampering of a luxury hotel in the middle of wilderness. The rooms are spacious, clean, modern with large shower cabins, large bathrooms, large TV set, large bed, and a nice balcony. Most rooms have a beautiful view to the mountain, snow, fir trees and all. There is a pool, and I mean a real pool, not a glorified bathtub. There are a few saunas by the pool: dry, wet and two other. The pool overlooks the mountain as well. There's also an outside jacuzzi. They don't serve anything by the pool so make sure you grab your beer upstairs, for your jacuzzi session. The restaurant is amazing. Spacious, with views, excellent food. The trout and sturgeon is local, raised in their own pools so it's always fresh.

You can do tons of hikes from Belmont. I'm not that much into hiking, but there is the lake and a big cave (Ialomița cave) a few kilometers north. We took one day trip, walking from Belmont hotel up north, across the fields. Keep in mind you're at 1600m altitude. By the time you reach hotel Peștera, close to the cave, you'll be at 1800m altitude. We ate there, good Romanian style food. Then we wanted to take the gondola up to Babele, 2200m altitude. But no luck, it wasn't open. We learned from the locals that one never knows when it works.

So we went and visited the cave instead. It's definitely worth it, takes about one hour and a half, but it's big and impressive. Then we took the other way back to the hotel, you'll find it on maps. The scenery was amazing. Pristine snow, streams, trees covered with snow. Looked like a fairy tale scene. We even had to cross one stream on a wooden log, kids enjoyed the little adventure.

Of course expect high prices: we paid 1250 lei/night - roughly 250€. Oh, almost forgot: I don't think the apartments are worth it. They are all at the attic level with no real windows, just some openings in the roof, that might get covered with snow leaving you on lightbulb light. Also no balcony and no views. You're better off getting two regular rooms.

All in all, a great hotel, great comfort in the middle of nature, one hour away driving from civilisation. I would...

I believe a 3-star rating is generous. A 2-star rating would be more fitting, especially in terms of "value for money."||This venue possesses a fabulous location with boundless potential, which is sadly wasted by the owners and staff, much like the experience they offer to their visitors.||Regrettably, instead of a delightful weekend at Belmont, we were left with a bitter taste due to their team and overall situation.||Issue #1: The hotel is NOT in Sinaia as promoted! Marketed as being in Sinaia on Booking and other platforms, it is actually an hour away on a precarious, winding road with 1.5 lanes at most. While the location is scenic, it is NOT in Sinaia by any stretch.||Issue #2: The hotel does not deliver on its promises. We booked a room with a "panoramic view" for an anniversary, only to be given a room overlooking a forest, mountains, gas tanks, workers' smoking area, and the kitchen ventilation. The reception, ironically proud of being overbooked, offered no remedy and argued that the room was technically still "panoramic."||Issue #3: They engage in "tourist gouging." Once you've ventured an hour to this remote location, you're essentially captive. A small bottle of water costs an exorbitant 22 lei, while a portion of fries at the restaurant is 45 lei. Even worse, they take your wine glass away and return it filled, source undisclosed.||Issue #4: The "pool" is a mere puddle. Don’t be fooled into thinking you can spend much time there. It's a small, children’s pool with just 6-7 loungers.||Issue #5: The audacity and unprofessionalism of the staff are hard to overlook. What could have been a go-to spot for relaxation with my spouse has turned into a place I would never recommend, thanks to these numerous disappointments.||There are other minor issues that could have been easily ignored, such as charging 20 lei/hour for electric car charging or the absence of an elevator. The cheap plastic balcony furniture is another letdown.||In summary, the Belmont Hotel is a missed opportunity, a wondrous location held hostage by individuals who care little about guest experience and more about squeezing every last penny. I will certainly avoid it...

Spent 3 nights and 3 days at Belmont in June and it was absolutely lovely! The room was exactly as pictured, the view was lovely and the staff and service was top notch. You can get there with most cars but if your car is quite low there are a few bumpy portions of the road that will make you a bit nervous - most cars should be fine though and the stay is worth the trip. Pros: fresh fish! You can see the trout in the ponds on the hotel grounds. We were pleasantly surprised to find a ping pong table, an outdoor children's playground, an outside tennis court Very tastefully decorated Quiet (you can hear the birds chirpici in the morning) yet we felt absolutely safe Comfortable bed Service was impeccable (you are greeted with prosecco as you check in) and we had great massages. Great breakfast spread (if you happen to be there during low season they might serve a la carte which is lovely and quite tasty, we had this on our last day) Suggestions: - The spa area, especially the pool, is smaller than I expected. A second larger pool is currently under construction and it should be completed by end of the year. - slightly patchy internet connection (there were instances when my phone just wouldn't connect to the hotel Wi-Fi), in one particular spot in the restaurant and in our room after midnight. - no toaster for the breakfast buffet, and dishes weren't labeled - this is useful especially for the spreads and the jams next to the pancakes for those who might be allergic to certain ingredients (but the staff is happy to help in case of questions). I am sure that if you asked the staff they would toast the bread slices for you but it's more convenient if you have the option to do it yourself. We will definitely return if we have the chance.

Reserved and paid for a deluxe panoramic room, but received a smaller room with no apologies or compensation. The hotel is not in Sinaia, as advertised, but in DAMBOVITA, a 50-minute drive away. Restaurant staff is impolite, food quality is poor, and reservations are necessary despite being told otherwise. Room categories on the website are misleading, and staff refuses to address discrepancies. Small rooms with no designated space for the children's bed. Rude Romanian staff, and the manager hasn't contacted us for a resolution. Limited options in the area, think twice before choosing Belmont Hotel. #thisistherealityatBelmontHotel

We did not stay at the hotel, but did eat at the restaurant, and it was outstanding. While exploring the area, we stumbled across the Belmont and decided to stop in for lunch and we were not disappointed. The staff was fine- kind of typical of a very upscale location (not overly "friendly" but certainly professional). The decor was beautiful and nicely decorated for fall. As for the food- WOW. The drinks were fabulous, and the food- outstanding. Fresh ingredients, and clearly made with care. We are planning to visit Romania again, and will absolutely eat hear again (and probably stay here since the area is beautiful).
