We just stayed there for couple of nights. We got 8 rooms, 15 people. Beautiful scenery no question about it! However we all thought the accommodation was way overrated. |The floors in the rooms were very dirty in each and every one of them. Dead insects all over the floor. In one of the rooms in one of the beds the sheets were not clean. In another one they kept the same towels from the previous guests. Showers is hit or miss. One day I had hot water in the beginning but then after it got ice cold. The second day no hot water whatsoever. And that was pretty much the same for most of the rooms we had. |The paid breakfast was great the first morning. Second morning we had half of what had in the previous morning. The waiter were very good when we came at 8:20pm and asked to be served. Despite the fact that the restaurant closes at 9pm they simply told us it’s too late for any orders. We had to be very persistent to convince them to serve us food. As if we asked for the food for free. |I’m firmly convinced that if they learn some costumer service and fix the hot water problem and clean the place it would be a great place. Till then you might be able to find better deals and better service at smaller...
Read moreWe choose Cotiso to explore the historical Sarmisegetusa Regia, but around are other very old fortresses- Costesti and Blidaru, which wait for tourists to explore them. It was the best choice to sleep, eat, relaxing and get good information about hidden gems- Tarsa with superb views from the top of the mountain. The room was very good and warm in the cold nights, the food and wine were excellent, the breakfast- fantastic buffet with local, fresh products. The staff was very friendly, especially the lady from reception (the owner?). The courtyard is very big and nice, with different things for everybody to spend time there. And not the last thing- there is a dog who comes with the tourists which walk from Cotiso to Costesti fortress (30 minutes) and takes them around the ruins like a professional guide, but he speaks only with eyes. Amazing! We liked the place very much and we will return to see more places which are in Orastiei Mountains. ||Even if there is wifi, the phone signal is not good and sometimes we had internet only on the balcony. But is not necessary with all the...
Read moreFor the price, the conditions are awful. The rooms are cleaned only on the surface, but in the corners and behind the furniture I’ve seen cobwebs, balls of dust or mold that make the whole place smell weirdly. Beds are so-so, but falling to poor quaility. We found only towels, toilet paper and a bottle of handsoap, nothing like shower gel, shampoo, hairdryer or other essential products. The signal is almost non existent, but they have a WiFi that works only on the ground floor. The staff looked grumpy, but I didn’t have much interactions with it.
The only good parts were that the food comes in big portions and there is a lot of space in the back of the cabin.
Overall a bad experience, I would not recommend to anyone to go there, it’s extremely overpriced for what you get, go find...
