Arka Hotel — Hotel in Orșova

It was by chance that we decided to make the trip to Orșova, after we saw that there was a choice of a 4 star hotel in the area. Honestly, if Arka Hotel did not show up as an option for accommodation in the area, we would not have made the effort, to drive from the other part of the country, for 12 hours. Arka Hotel did not disappoint. It is a new hotel, modern, with elevator, private parking, and a good restaurant. Everything is decorated with taste and great cromatic choices. It is impressive what they were able to achieve in the area, from an old structure. It has swimming pool as well. Probably the best restaurant and hotel in the area. The staff was friendly and we connected nicely, shared impressions and ideas, and for this alone, we are inclined to visit again. We had a good service in the restaurant from Ionuț (thank you and hope you get to visit Iași as well), and the ladies at the reception were quite a pleasure to talk to, as they shared stories of how it all came together, and their willingness to get feedback and improve all aspects of the hotel. This place has great potential, and we are convinced that the minor issues that other clients reported, will be taken care of. Experiență dezamăgitoare, repetată – nu recomand!

Am ales această locație de mai multe ori, inclusiv pentru a găzdui peste 10 persoane apropiate, costurile fiind acoperite integral de mine (mii de euro în total). Din păcate, de fiecare dată s-au repetat aceleași probleme majore:

Lipsa confortului termic Indiferent că am fost cazați în februarie, martie sau aprilie, camerele au fost foarte reci, iar instalatia de climatizare nu functioneaza corespunzator. În ciuda tarifelor de 450–500 RON pe noapte, căldura a fost insuficientă, ceea ce a afectat în mod direct confortul nostru și mai ales al copiilor care nu au putut dormii deloc toata noaptea. I’m

Mic dejun modest și rigid Oferta de mic dejun a fost dezamăgitoare: două tipuri de salam, două de brânză și două de slănină. Ouale sunt disponibile doar dacă le soliciți, iar orice rugăminte privind modul de preparare este refuzată – “nu dorește bucătarul”. La cererea de a încălzi apă pentru cei mici, ni s-a oferit doar apă rece din frigider, după o așteptare de peste 30 de minute în care personalul prezent a ignorat complet mesele.

Lipsa de considerație față de clienții fideli Deși am revenit în repetate rânduri și am recomandat locația altora, atitudinea a rămas rece și impersonală. Când am atras atenția asupra disconfortului creat, singurul răspuns a fost un „ne cerem scuze, data viitoare va fi mai bine”.

Gestionarea neinspirată a unei situații minore La plecare, am uitat două cartele simple de acces, fără valoare semnificativă. În loc de o abordare calmă, soția mea a fost sunată insistent de patron, apoi acesta a venit personal, vizibil tensionat, pentru a le recupera, sugerând că am avut intenții neloiale – deși i-am comunicat clar că le vom returna în aceeași zi.

Concluzie: Pentru un preț de cel puțin două-trei ori mai mare decât media zonei, serviciile sunt sub așteptări, iar comportamentul față de clienți lasă de dorit. Regret sincer această experiență și nu o...

Modern hotel (2020) with private parking overlooking the Danube River. We used this hotel part of a road trip from Belgrade to Bucharest. Close to this hotel is a nice destination Baie Herculane (20 minutes drive). Hotel is well maintained, only downside is the HVAC which gave hot air only, AC not cooling. Restaurant offers good quality and service. Breakfast is a buffet set up with hot and cold dishes. The hotel also caters to groups, and was fully booked during our stay.
