Monopoly Hotel — Hotel in Otopeni

First, the hotel. Beautiful! New, extremely clean, and nicely decorated. We were welcomed and checked in early. Found the room very spacious for European standards and an amazing bathroom. We spent the afternoon out and returned for dinner at the hotel. Dinner was very good and nicely priced, about 76RON for 2 meals, 3 drinks. We had to be up at 0330 for an early flight so we planned to go to sleep early. However....||I read some past reviews on Hotels.com about an annoying barking dog. I thought hmmm that was in October so surely he barking dog issue has been remedied. It has not. And it barked off and on all.night.long. Not for a long time, but just enough to wake you up and then you have to fall back asleep and just frequently enough that it was disruptive to good sleep. ||The hotel gets 4 stars for service and cleanliness but the dog really, really brought down our experience and will continue to be bothersome to future guests until the dog is convinced to sleep...

Spotlessly clean and spacious triple room and bathroom, strong wi-fi signal, comfy beds, very kind and helpful staff (particularly Gabriel, the night receptionist who could not go farther to help us and satisfy our needs). The restaurant does not work for dinner but you can order delivery (Gabriel will assist you) that comes really fast and you can eat your food either in your room or at the hotel's restaurant (the receptionist will give you cutlery). || The breakfast is not a buffet but I may say it is very good and gives you a robust start of the day. "Monopoly" is the perfect hotel to relax before and after a flight from and to Bucharest. It is in a quiet residential area, away from downtown and you'd better have a car. || We will surely come back to Monopoly....

Stayed at this hotel for a weekend break in Bucharest - taking in Therme Bucharest and a bit of downtown sight-seeing. It is a new small hotel close to the ring road and the airport, but benefits from not being directly on either road and so much quieter. |Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Fridge in the room is a nice touch to store your own water etc. (It is not a stocked mini-bar). |Downstairs has a small reception, bar and kitchen serving meals. The receptionist/bar tender was extremely friendly, and professional. |We didn’t eat at the hotel and so cannot comment on the food. |Parking is available in front of the hotel. |In summary, great value, well located friendly hotel. Have no hesitation in...
