Lary Hostel — Hotel in Pătrăuți

My wife & I, who are in our early 70s & normally stay at B&Bs (pensions), saw that Lary "Hostel" had a private room with double bed & nearby private bathroom & reserved it for 2 nights - before & after our scheduled tour of the Painted Monasteries of Bucovina. We thoroughly enjoyed the quiet peacefulness of its edge-of-town location & the rustic view looking across a valley from the deck where our meals were served. The physical facilities were very adequate (clean & spacious). The meals (we requested both breakfast & dinner both days) were Delicious, inexpensive & made mostly from natural foods, many being grown by the owner in her garden & orchard. But the best part is yet to be mentioned. The owner was our favorite hostess of the many we had on a 3+ week trip. Larisa possesses a warm, friendly, outgoing personality that made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. Even tho her English is somewhat limited, she could not have been more helpful - even phoning a translator on a couple occasions. .II have quite a wonderful history with this hostel..About 15 years ago I come from Canada where I live now to visit Bucovina the place we’re I was born and were my father and my paternal relatives lives.I was looking for some pastoral accommodation and I find this beautiful place.Thanks god.First I have to mention the hosts: Miss Geta and Mr.Mircea.This people do everything for their guests .Miss Geta take us from train station other times from Suceava airport.She prepared us breakfast,dinner or ever you want . Her meals are organic because everything is grown on their property.(vegetable fruits chickens,eggs etc.) Her meals are gourmet and delicious.and also offers before meal Romanian appetizer treat famous Tuica.She wash the clothes for us drive us to my father village to the monastery she is excellent guide The rooms are simple but functional and clean.the best part is when you drink your cafe or take yours meals on her terrace balcony’s and enjoy the amazing country side nature Also she is honest are her prices are great.With this occasion I want to thank them for the never forget memory we had on their...

I staid in Lary Youth Hostel because after I started with Irene's...I wanted to try this one too.||||Even from the start this "Hostel" looked more of a pension, of a home..and this made me feel good.||||The staff, de facto owners were very kind giving me a lot of attention and trying to make me feel wanted there.||The place was very clean and very good-looking.||||The room I stayed in was very spacious, I had a wardrobe and a doublebed just for me so I had a very comfortable sleep.||||They gave me breakfast and tea along with many tips on Suceava and the Bucovina region.||The second day they helped me get to the city in order to continue my travel plans.||||If I ever go to Bucovina again, then I will make a stop at Lary Hostel.||||The fact that they have high-speed wasn't really of interest for me because I wanted to get disconnected from anything else but Bucovina :D||||P.S.
