Hotel Rusu — Hotel in Petroșani

Hotel Rusu is set in stunning mountain scenery with excellent views all around. The autumn colours were breath taking! The hotel is clean, tidy and nicely decorated. The restaurant has a warm and elegant atmosphere. Our twin room was basic but clean. The finishes are a little tired, skirting boards coming away from the wall, but still comfortable. The memory foam mattresses were very comfortable, however they do not use mattress or pillow protectors. The shower was powerful and hot and a dressing gown and slippers are provided. The hotel website says that they do currency exchange, but they denied it at reception. It was resolved after some persuasion. Breakfast is very good, nice variety of hot and cold foods. The restaurant food was delicious, we recommend the chicken breast burger (19 lei/4£) and the beef burger meals if you fancy a break from the traditional Romanian food. Absolutely lovely is this place, and this hotel too. It seems to be energetically powerful; for those who are passionate about parapsychology, here you can find something much stronger than in the more known and more promoted places (some, unjustifiably), which I do not mention here, because an "advertisement", even by comparison of inferiority , this is still "advertising". So throw your worries and stop here, where the food and drink are good "like at home mom", and the honor of the orders and the attitude of the restaurant staff is absolutely impeccable. A very good point is the chairlift station and the fact that you can make many trips on the mountain trails in Parang. Whoever is with the "lesson learned" can climb the mountain top "Parangul Mare" with an altitude of 2519m, which is on the 4th place 5 in Romania, his height. I stayed here with 5 others for 4 days and 3 nights. The views are amazing, and the hotel has its own gondola. It was quite a pleasant stay, a bit more down to earth and rusitic, but overall, it was nice. The rooms were clean, and the bathroom had a bit of dust where the tiles met the wall that wasn't cleaned in a while. Food wise, it was decent and ok price wise. The waiters, some of them very nice like a lady named Maria, others on the other hand had a bit of an attitude (maybe because of stress related issues) One thing that I didn't quite expect was when I arrived, I didn't know that I was staying on the third floor and I asked at the reception if someone can help me with my suitcase, I was asked "don't you have any colleagues to help you"?
