Byblos — Hotel in Piatra Neamț

Keeping in mind this is not a luxury place (they do not advertise as such), but a fair 3* guesthouse down the road, the Byblos is fine. Rooms, while expectedly small and fairly simple, are pleasant and comfortable, respectively kept clean. The restaurant downstairs serves a decent share of local dishes at low prices and our group of a dozen people coming and going at different times had a good experience. Amplasamentul acestei pensiuni, la drumul județean, este departe de a fi impedimentul major. Ar trebui acordata o mai mare atenție detaliilor, care fac diferența. În poze, camerele par drăguțe, dar din momentul în care deschizi ușa te întâmpină un miros de umed, de neaerisit, de statut, acoperit parca de produsele cu care s-a făcut igienizarea. Lenjeria fusese schimbata dar, pentru învelit, am găsit un cearșaf insuficient pentru doua persoane. Fiind o noapte răcoroasă, am cautat o pilota, pe care am găsit-o într-un dulap, cu cearșaful neschimbat și suficient de botit. Cea mai neplăcută surpriza a fost lipsa apei și reacția angajaților care a fost nu tocmai amiabila când le-am adus la cunoștință problema, motivând o defecțiune la nivel de localitate, deși, într-o pensiune aflata la câțiva metri era apa curenta. E o unitate de cazare cu potențial dar unde calitatea serviciilor ar trebui îmbunătățită. Menționez ca în camere nu exista aer condiționat, în zilele de vara atmosfera nefiind...
