Pensiune La Mama — Hotel in Pietroasa

We stopped by to eat lunch. We ordered and while waiting I noticed a verbal exchange between the lady in charge there, apparently the manager of the place, and an immigrant lady employee, who was hanging the laundry to dry. I felt pity for the poor employee 😢. A manager who treats its employees like that, cannot for sure be genuinely hospitable to the paying guests. Thats why I asked to have our food served in the green area by the water across the road, which the manager was reluctant to in the first place. She changed her mind after I said we will pay beforehand. The situation was saved by the kind and friendly husband to the foreign lady employee who fetched our food. The villa is located in the middle of the woods between 2 mountains. There are also many hiking trails nearby . Its a great place if you’re looking for adventure. The villa serves 3 meals a day. The staff are also disponible 24/7. Although there are also disadvantages; the inner walls are very thin and if theres a family with a kid here , you can say goodbye to peace. Update: At 8 AM you are forced to wake up BY THE NOISE and i myself am quite the heavy sleeper. Also even though its the middle of the summer, it gets cold quickly and as the radiator doesnt work , you are FORCED to wake up at 1 AM to cover yourself...

We didn't stay here in pensiune, but we stopped here for unplanned lunch at their grill. The food was delicious, and obviously freshly prepared. They cook good homemade local cuisine. Which is apparently also happily used by the locals. The garlic sauce for the fries was simply delicious. And their homemade soup was like from grandma. I didn't eat better soup during our entire vacation in Romania. The ladies were very pleasant and helpful, and even though they didn't speak English, we had a wonderful conversation with our hands and feet. We...
