Forest Boutique — Hotel in Pitești

What it was supposed to be a fun, enjoyable experience ended up being disrespectful and disappointing. There was a wedding and part of the party we were staying at the hotel. From outside seemed lovely and cosy, far from the reality. We were 4 people sharing a 2 bedroom apartment where one of the beds was in the living/kitchen room which is not private at all. We didn't have a/c and were given only one fan for the 3 different spaces. How were we supposed to sleep fresh or get ready for the event and not sweating our lives out? The building looks new but the finishings are terrible, the door net to the balcony disengaged from its place and the door sill of one of the bedrooms fell on closing the door. We didn't have hot water, which we didn't mind since it was 40 degrees and no a/c, but I can't imagine it in winter. All of the above was fine and manageable, we were there to celebrate love, so we didn't care that much. What makes this place the worse is the people working there. From the beginning we didn't feel welcomed, it was like we were breaking in a stranger's home instead of a hotel. They were looking at us as if we were disturbing them by just existing. On the day we were leaving the nightmare began. They rushed us to leave the rooms before the scheduled time, so we did. We stayed at the common area whilst organising the transport back to Bucharest. The cleaning staff told us off for leaving a mess in the rooms, very rude. We didn't leave any mess, no dirt or left rubbish behind us, just the normal use of sleeping and using the bathroom. I've been to uncountable hotels and never left any mess. Then who apparently was the owner showed up and became extremely aggressive with the group at the common area. Telling us we were there to sleep only and we shouldn't be there. Basically kicked us out when part of the group was staying there for another night. He repeated that we left a mess and this hotel is new and not to be used for partying. We didn't party there, there was no music or us being loud as we spent most of the time at the wedding venue. Place is clean and could possibly have been newly open or refurbished. As everything looked good at surface level. Feels like a safe location also. That's maybe all the positive things I can say.

The shower: it had no hot water on first go, ran it for ages and reset the boiler. But didn't seem to work. Made a call and it got sorted the same day. TOP TIP, don't leave your clothes on the floor while you shower. As it doesn't seem to drain well. And the water ended up running out of the bathroom. We were 2 females and we hadn't washed our hair yet but after it flooded we pulled out hair from the drain. Didn't make a difference the next day, it still flooded.

We had booked a room with air-conditioning. But the room did not have, but a fan was supplied. The room was incredibly hot! I was close to booking somewhere else for the second night as I got very little sleep.

The owner / manager is EXTREMELY arrogant, unnecessary rude and aggressive. Customer service is zero. - no words were exchanged yet for him to respond and be like this!

The sign in the room says check out is 12, but the cleaners make noise outside your room early on and wait in hallway to put pressure on you to leave.

The sign in the room also says breakfast daily, but we were told on arrival no breakfast available.

All in all I would not recommend if you wish for a comfortable stay both mentally...

We stayed here for a weekend and initially all was well. Unfortunately the only good part was arriving to the building and then everything else was a let down.

There were no ACs in our room and we were only provided with one fan and this was a 3 bedroom apartment so we ahd to sleep in the heat. There was also no hot water in the apartment.

On our final day, the ladies were waiting behind our doors asking us to check out before 12pm and did not move. The ladies said we could wait in the kitchen until we were ready to leave however around 45mins after check out time, a male ( the owner I assume) comes in and tells us that the accommodation was only provided to sleep and that we should not have had a drink ( a bottle of prosecco was consumed and bottles of water) as there was a fridge and a sink in the apartment provided.

He then kept having a go at every single guest that was there and made us feel very unwelcome. The owner clearly needs to learn a lesson in hospitality.

After we left, he further complained that we left the towels on the floor - to which he has a notice stating, please leave towels on the floor in a pile. There is also no security measures in place as all the fobs provided allow you access to any room apart from Apartment 6.

It left such a bitter taste in our mouth following a great weekend in Pitesti but I would suggest you go elsewhere...
