Geona — Hotel in Poiana Teiului

To be fair we were the only occupants in the one room at the hotel at the time. It was so quiet and peaceful. Perfect if you like that sort of thing. Not too far from the lake and mountains. Maybe half an hr drive. It's totally for relaxing at the time we went there to be fair. Spent a lot of the day at the hotel and the staff are lovely. They cooked whatever we wanted, even if it took 4 hrs like the beef etc. The land lady was nice and the general feel is relaxed. Locals come here for tea and food while travelling through the city but again not a lot. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, it's your place. No party anywhere near here so don't be fooled. The doors close at 9ish normally and it's a bit cold due to being in the mountain area. Lovely air though. Not so much of a view but nice. I would go here again anyday. All your basics included usual hotel style. I would say it's a 3 in my opinion....

NOT RECOMMENDED DURING COLD WEATHER!!! Dear Owner of Geoana Pension, We have been accommodated to your place in October 2022. The outside temperature 2 Degrees Celsius. The same temperature we got inside the room during the night!!! We tried to contact you several times between 11pm and 6 am to help us with a solution. After 7 am somebody came with a tiny heater with no efficiency for heating the room. We are hoping you can improve this issue before it will...

Our room is large and comfortable with satellite tv and a fridge. It has a balcony looking onto the forest and the setting is attractive as is the condition and decor of the building, eg beautiful marble staircase. |The food is ok and the service prompt but impersonal. We have not explored the area yet; we shall go and look at the lake Bistrita later. It is pouring with rain and this is as good a place as any to read, relax, watch tv and write reviews...
