Recently, our team found itself on the path to the delightful Art 1000 Guest House for a team building exercise. With the new road from Cluj making the journey all the more seamless, our choice to retreat here proved to be a brilliant decision, leaving us awestruck and impressed.

The first thing that captures your attention at Art 1000 is the breathtaking view. Situated in a serene setting, the guest house offers a unique panorama that simply enriches your stay, filling you with a sense of calm and rejuvenation.

The guest house itself is a marvel. The thoughtful design, splendid location, and a remarkable spa facility together make it nothing short of a perfect hideaway. Every corner of the guest house exudes an ambiance of luxury and tranquility that perfectly complements the natural beauty surrounding it.

But what's a splendid stay without some delectable food? The culinary offerings at Art 1000 were close to perfect. With a wide array of choices and impeccable service, every meal became an occasion to look forward to, adding to the memorable experience of our team building event.

We spent two unforgettable days at Art 1000, and the unanimous consensus amongst the team was that it's an incredibly special place. It was not just a retreat, but an experience that left us refreshed, rejuvenated, and more bonded as a team.

I've been here for 2 nights and I have some pro and cons regarding to the place. I'll start with the pros: Very beautiful place with a nice view from the room. The whole place is clean and I cannot find any complain regarding to this. And now, I'll follow-up with the cons: The receptionist was very arrogant and easily irritated by any questions. Considering the price charged for a double room, I would expect to have a hair drier within the rooms (they gave us one only after we asked). Also, I expected at least one access card per guest (for the room access). I asked for the second access card and I was told "only for exceptional cases". By paying this price, I should have been able to get into the room whenever I want. Instead I had to search for my roommate every single time, in order to get the card. The pool, gym, table tennis table, and everything else gets closed by 10PM. Let me explain what this means: if you are having some activities outdoor and come back to your stay by 8PM, everything will be closed within 2 hours. Even when I asked the receptionist if he can let us play table tennis for one extra hour, I've got the following response "no, it's my responsibility to close it by 10PM, no exceptions". That being said, the only thing left to do after 10PM is sleep.

Considering the above-mentioned arguments, I'm going to give 2 stars...

The location is fabolous. You have a view on mountains and a lake, beautiful during the day with sun and also with moon reflected in it. There are possibilities to go walking around. There was a pandemic so we could not enjoy all their facilities, but they have many. The room is big enough, nicely decorated, stylish. From the window you can watch the birds flying in all directions . The breakfast included in the price is tasty and it was smartly served by the staff from a buffet style table, taking proper measures. The restaurant has decent dishes at reasonable prices and good portions. Price for room with breakfast is just borderline proper value for cost for us, not having benefited of sauna or pool. For the negatives, the access road is bad - worse on a longer way (40 mins of bad road) if you come from Cluj through Valea Draganului, better coming from Apuseni (10 mins of bad road) . It is under construction, so maybe better soon. We did not have a mini fridge in the room. The staff could be a bit more welcoming. We waited over 1 hour for food on Saturday evening, it came lukewarm and there is no option around, so very frustrating. BReakfast starts only at 9,too late, especially since you are 1 hour away from the e St objectives, the caves,or the main road...
