Ileana Petreuş — Hotel in Poienile Izei

I arrived at Pensiunea Ileana Petrus after a tough day on my bike and I've got the best welcoming ever with palinca and "aperitiv" made of smoked sausages and lard :)||The pension is really nice, with typical Maramures style, wooden decorated gate and two buildings covered by wood.||Ileana is the perfect host, she really takes care of their guests and she feeds the guests with food and love. ||I had a room on the first floor on the traditional building. It was a double room with private bathroom for only 80RON. Also, they provided the dinner for 25RON (ciorba with beans, mashed potetoes with sausages and zucchini pancakes...absolutely delicious). I slept perfectly and I had the chance to talk with the mother-in-law of Ileana who could speak good Italian as she lived in Italy for a while. She gave me some interesting information about the life in Maramures and I really enjoyed my time with her.||I totally recommend this place, you will leave it regenerated and full of good memories!!||Go to Ileana and say hi...

The location is wonderful, quiet (Poienile Izei) Mrs. Ileana is a super housewife, you will taste traditional delicacies, even for the pretentious, like me, she cooks separately (I eate without meat). Do not be scared if it is cold (during autumn - winter) as you get to the room because after the heat starts it will warm up in max 30 minutes. The room is equipped with: shower towels, hand + face towels, hand soap, wardrobe for clothes, 2 bedside tables with storage spaces, socket on each side of the bed + separate chandelier for each part (if you want to read) , TV, pillows + extra duvet (if you need it). I recommend you to take with slippers for walking around the room (I forgot them :D). From the point of view of the tourist objectives, from this pension you are favored (Mocanita Viseu approx. 30 km, Barsana approx. 25 km, chairlift Borsa for Cascada Caiilor approx. 65 km, Memorial of the victims of communism from Sighetul Marmatiei approx. 55 km). Made reservation through Booking.com. ||I've received a call from the owner to tell me that the guest house is full on the arrival day and it's overbooking.
