The hotel (built well before 1989) is part of a group of three units, belongs to Unita Travel (part of Wienner Stadtische who also owns Uniqa Insurance) and the only with minimal refurbishment. The floor is carpeted instead of laminated parquet. The PVC joinery is defective, the door is giving you a hard time to close it. Even though the bathroom is clean there is a light and persistent smell of sewage. The big plus is that the hot water is running 24/7 and you don't have to wait too long for the hot water. The cold water... is really cold. You can cool a beer way before the fridge can do it. The garbage is collected on daily basis. Clean towels every morning. There is a colour TV with a small screen and is very old. The mini fridge is a plus for the room.
The restaurant is the big drawback. With old cutlery, plates and tablecloth with white and blue chess pattern it takes you in a time travel into the 80's. The food?! Low quality and bloody expensive. The menus are classified as Breakfast and Lunch. Meaning that you will receive one menu for Breakfast and another one for Lunch which ... is more expensive by far. Anyway, there are not too many choices for you. If you'll stay week... you will eat the same dish several times. If you chose the accommodation with breakfast do calculate what you order. They do not inform you if you have reached the ammount of money allowed for breakfast, therefore, you will order less than the amount allowed. I recommend to take the room w/o breakfast and you'll pay after you order as they offer receipts. There are no products from local farmers. Everything is bought from Metro Cash&Carry. No fresh milk or dairy products other than pressed cheese and brined cheese. The cheese pancakes are delicious. You can have the same food at "La Bunicu'" (3.5km away, in Beliş) for 2/3 - 3/4 of the price you pay here.
Even if there is a gazebo with a grill we were not told about it. no words about the tennis court... no hiking maps of the area... there are two hiking trails but not properly marked. it was like they were not interested about how we spend our time.
you can spend some time sailing with those 3 boat owners, which due to the prices are more like pirates... 50 Lei/0.5 hour (they say)...with a 4m long motor-boat and 100 Lei/ 0.5hour, with a 4m long speed boat. Also, for 50 Lei/hour, you can rent a pedal boat.
The scenery is marvellous. Would I recommend it to you?! well... just for one night or two if you eat somewhere else.
Price: 150 Lei/ double bed room. Breakfast: 18 Lei/person

Read moreDuring or trip in May 2023 we stopped for the night at the lake Belis-Fantanele - Cluj County , and the place of choice was Hotel Bianca. |A hotel that is near the lake - on the top of a small hill, alongside the road DN 1R , in a bend. The position is ideal, overlooking the lake , that can be seen from the balcony of the rooms. |The hotel is separated from the restaurant - although those are part of the same "business" - so for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner you need to cross the road ... so it isn't far at all - a few steps and you are there. |Checking in/out was fast and simple - a fairly easy procedure and we could pay with card - hotel & restaurant the same.|Room - we've got a small suite actually , consisting of 2 rooms and a bathroom , clean, simple, nothing fancy , but more than enough to spend the night. |If you arrive with your car - the parking lot is in front of the hotel , free of charge.|The restaurant , we had dinner there , it had some very good options on the menu, decent price to quality ratio, nothing to complain, not a fine dinning restaurant - but a very decent place to eat. |Staff was friendly, both at the hotel and at the restaurant. |Overall a good night stay, with a decent prince to quality ratio, nothing fancy, nothing spectacular, but a decent place to spend a night- or even...
Read moreAccommodation Old, but renovated building. Clean, equipped, although served by a single maid. Pleasant scenery, great air. Old TVs offer about 10 TV programs. WI-FI signal is very good, but inefficient (you can not access anything on your phone or laptop). Bed linen and towels, friendly staff.
The restaurant is across the street from the hotel in an old building (works 30+ years) and seemingly unkempt. It is on the shore of the lake, the view from the terrace is delightful. The staff is very kind, but totally insufficient (the waitress is also a receptionist at the hotel). Waiting time is long, but the quality of the food is excellent. I ate a few days in a row, and I was never disappointed. Being the only restaurant in the resort, I suggest that you prepare with great patience, because it...
