Pensiunea Dumbravita — Hotel in Râu de Mori

Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the manager and the guesthouse staff who were all extremely friendly but also endearingly shy (Măriuța, the waitress comes to mind). ||||The accomplished head chef was very flexible and catered for our needs shortly after arrival by swiftly preparing an excellent meal [succulent schnitzel with fries]. Whilst on the subject of food, as other reviewers have remarked, the guesthouse serves a varied and delicious breakfast. There will be something on offer for even the most discerning palates. The coffee [Lavazza] admittedly very strong but equally good. Beware drinking this in the evening if you have a sleep debt that needs repaying. ||||Which brings me to the subject of the clean and comfortable rooms. You should calibrate your expectations so as to avoid disappointment, for this is not a 4 or 5-star hotel. You would need to travel to one of Romania’s larger cities to enjoy that level of luxury. However, the guesthouse’s rooms have been sensibly decorated, the mattress was certainly on the moderately firm side, but in our experience far from stiff [as others have complained]. ||Importantly, the bathroom appears to have been recently decorated and upon asking, the owner confirmed that all the available rooms have had their bathrooms renovated. This was a source of some inconvenience for previous guests. To be clear, in our experience, the bathroom was very clean and perfectly functional. ||||||We spent two great evenings here, marked by the constant soundtrack of the nearby river. The scenery was beautiful and it was wondrously relaxing to take long walks in the tranquil evening splendour of the mountain. ||||The manager did their best to ensure that we sampled some excellent hospitality! ||We will repay their efforts by returning at the earliest...

I stayed at this establishment with my wife a three year old. The faicilieties were average, at beat, despite booking the delux room: the internet was virtually non existent, the bathroom furniture and ammelieties were cheap despite making a desperate effort to look premium. The restaurant had a limited menu, mostly romanian/fast-food style with fried potatoes and a choice of grilled meant or snitzel. It is quite pricey, and has almost no options for vegetarians. The host was kind enough to offer to cook us gluten free meals. The reason I insisted on the menu is that there are no restaurants nearby, so make sure you check their menu before booking a room. ||The view and the surroundings is breathtaking. But make sure to take safety precautions, if you plan on a walk, since you might encounter some quite unfriendly packs of dogs, which will nor shy away from bitting you. ||Furthermore, there is a children playground at the inn/establisment, but it is unsafe for kids to play there: rusted metal bolts, sharp edges. But since there are no other options, it will have to do if you have kids. |||Other than walking along the river there is nothing else to do. O sa incerc sa sintetizez; am fost la pensiune si din pacate m-am intors dupa trei zile ... desi doream sa stau cinci zile.Vina nu apartine pensiunii; am fost la unul din obiectivele turistice din zona, am luat masa si m-am trezit cu o toxiinfectie; o noapte am suferit. Revenind la pensiune; voi lua in ordine inversa punctajul acordat. -LOCATIE- zona este frumoasa, chiar spectaculoasa din punct de vedere al naturii; strict al naturii. -SERVICII-nu dau o nota deoarece am senzatia ca asteptarile mele au fost paralele cu oferta lor (in spatiu chiar oarecare). Am citit in pensiune un anunt care spunea ca fac curatenie in camere "LA CERERE".Asteptarile mele erau sa fie totul impecabil iar ale lor sa le spun cand am nevoie. In rest mi s-au parut OAMENI FOARTE OK.Saritori si de bun simt. -CAMERA/ CAMERE-sincer sa fiu este cea MAI PROASTA CAZARE DE CARE AM AVUT CANDVA PARTE. Vina imi apartine si mie deoarece nu am citit review-uri; ma grabeam, decizie luata tarziu, totul ocupat, vacanta trecea. Am luat o suita de doua camere.De obicei iau min doua dormitioare deoarece astfel cei mici se odihnesc fara sa fie deranjati. Cand am ajuns m-au surprins camerele. Suita care in foto parea generoasa era de fapt compusa din doua camarute; cea mare cred ca avea2.5-3x2.5-3. Cea mica 2x2.5; sper sa nu gresesc. Camera mica avea o fereastra mica, mica, Camera mare avea o fereastra identica si inca una putin mai mare care dadea intr-o terasa comuna. Paturile m-au marcat; cadru metalic, cu plasa de arcuri si o saltea de burete. Pernele mi-au rupt gatul; cand puneai capul pe ele parca nu existau. TV-o chichineata mai mica ca cel mai mic monitor pe care-l am.Nu are rost sa vorbim de calitate, brand etc samd.Va spun doar ca era mic si pt a-ti vedea doua camere de supraveghere concomitent.Smart in nici un caz. Plasa de insecte doar la geamul dinspre terasa comuna; si acesta era prost instalat si intrau viespi prin crapatura dintre tocul geamului si rama,Celelalte nu aveau plasa. Am avut zilnic 2-3 viespi.In prima noapte am avut un fluture de noapte care s-a asezat pe noi...va dati seama ce sperietura. Intr-o dimineata m-am trezit cu o lacusta pe perete langa mine. Despre paienjeni nu are rost sa vorbim; multi. Asternuturile au fost impecabile, camerele curate. Terasa comuna era vai de ea; o bancheta ce statea sa cada, praf, panze de paianjen.Se fuma la greu si era o scrumiera imensa plina de mucuri de tigara. Mancarea a fost foarte buna. TOTUL PAREA VECHI SI NEREPARAT/ NEINGRIJIT. ERA CA O CASA FRUMOASA CARE NU A FOST REPARATA DE 20 DE ANI. LOCUL DE JOACA IN PARAGINA, VAI DE MAMA LUI PRETURILE: CAZARE-exagerate, extrem de mari. Am platit pe 2 camarute care unite erau cat o camera medie de hotel 98 Euro/ noapte, fara mic dejun; strict cazarea.ENORM.Dar stiti cum este...prost nu e cine cere... La mare, in Grecia, pe coasta de vest, langa Parga, la un pret cu 12-14% mai mare am avut apartament de 50-60 m2, cu terasa, bucatarie, curatenie zilnica,etc. ... CUM SPUNEAM, NICI O DATA NU AM FOST CAZAT ATAT DE RAU; NU NUMAI CU FAMILIA, NICI IN DEPLASARILE IN INTERES DE SERV....SI AM BATUT TARA IN LUNG SI IN LAT. MANCAREA-buna dar scumpa pentru ceea ce ofereau. CAFEAUA-EXAGERATA.10 lei o cafea Lavazza la capsula.O capsula este 1.5-1.8 lei si in Bulgaria si mai jos; acolo doar sa spui ca vrei Lavazza ca imediat o inscriptioneaza. SERVICII COMPLEMENTARE: INTERNET- la fel de prost ca in Grecia.In camera mare aveam semnal Doar in pat si doar intr-o parte a acestuia. Semnal telefonic: ZERO.Am avut VF si am cumparat din Hateg doua cartele prepay:Orange si Telekom.ZERO SEMNAL.Am inteles ca Digi ar avea semnal dar cum ei nu mai au prepay... Am incercat sa va ajut sa nu faceti ce ma facut eu. NU VA RECOMAND desi oamenii sunt f ok.
