All six of us completely loved this place. It is peaceful, friendly, spotlessly clean, and the breakfast - ahhhhh, the breakfast - is fantastic. ||||We arrived here after long drive out from Bucharest. We were tired and in sore need of some rest and relaxation. We were greeted warmly by a man (the owner?) waiting for us outside on the patio. ||||Our rooms were spotless, spacious, and super comfortable. The bathroom and shower were nice sized, clean, and with good hot water and pressure. The hotel is only four years or so old, so everything is still in spiffy shape.||||We relaxed in the evening on the front patio in the fresh air with glasses of red wine. Our waitress was wonderful - appearing like magic to ask if we wanted another glass as soon as one glass was empty, and she always had a smile. There is also an outdoor covered shed with picnic tables, where we probably could have sat as well. ||||The air is clean and crisp here, as the hotel is at the very foot of the mountains. You wake up to a view of the mountains on either side of the hotel, no matter what room you have. We happened to have the back of the hotel and it was beautiful to wake to the mist clearing from the mountain. It was so peaceful that we slept like stones. [Ok, the wine helped, too.]||||The next morning we had an amazing breakfast of eggs from a local village farm, various cheeses (some also from a local farm), meats (yes!, from a local farm), tomatoes (of course, local), orange juice, and coffee. YUMMMMmmmmmm. Our waitress was the same wonderful girl from the previous evening. She was so friendly and so quick to fill glasses, do more espressos, and serve the freshly fried eggs. ||||All of us wanted to stay another night...or two...or three...or four... This spot is a heavenly refuge from the stress of everyday life.||||I will say that we had some challenge finding the hotel and had to call for directions two times, as there are no signs for the hotel on the main road. Trust what the man says and take the left off of the main road down onto...
Read moreWe happened to come across this location as we were looking for accommodations around Sambata de Sus. I am so happy we decided to stay in Dejani instead. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We had a bit of a problem with the shower in our bathroom but it was promptly addressed by the owner/staff. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and it was quite a spread. We ate dinner in the restaurant and it was well cooked and absolutely delicious. (we are originally from Romania so the local foods are familiar to us).We loved the location as it was very peaceful and picturesque - nice view of the mountains in a quiet spot. We had easy access to local...
