Dissapointed big times.. I called to book an apartment (as we can't have the pool without taking a room) saying that I'm interested about the pool and the guy who answered said no prob, just come and you'll sorting out. I heard that they have a nice pool and my son realy wanted to go.All good by now. Going there at 6.30pm, called to open the door as it was closed showing on the front door the number, a guy who looked like he was doing maintenance work show up and and invite us inside. Explain that we came not too far from there( 20 mins), and I'm interested about the pool as the kids we came with were really fancy it and will take an apartment, but really really interested in the pool if we can have it longer... he said not to worry, you can have it all night if you want and I'll give you a room near, in the same building with the pool. Agreed, the guy took my ID, saying that he need as to check in with nothing to sign or to agree if wanted breakfast or diner or how the things were working out and we procced to that building where another unwelcome man waited for the call to open up... The "apartment" formed from 2 small rooms with broken cupboards and old furniture was dirty and cold...the guy said will turn on the heat and by the time finishing swimming will be warm.less then 2 hours after, the unwelcome man came to tell us that we need to release the pool and go in our rooms. I remain calm and I asked why as this is not what we've been told, he said that's the rules in which I reply no prob, all good. I took the 2 kids and my friends all together 5 in total, and we decide to leave as is no point to pay to sleep in a place 20min far away from home just because we stayed 1.5 hours in the hotel...Anyway we've been thinking on 10pm to go in the apartment to put the kids to sleep, but when someone is telling something and we agree, I feel that agreement should be respected from both sides...on reception, after I call to open up and the maintenance guy show up again saying to wait for someone to talk with. A young lady which I heard is the daughter of the owners came, not even saying a good evening or present herself working there as couldn't know that (red jumper on her, jeans the messyhair), ask what problem I have.. I mention her all above and she said that shes sorry but what she can do is just to pay for the night and leave.I looked on her and ask if she's joking or serious as why would I pay for something that didn't use at all and more than happy to pay just for the entry at the pool as this is not what we've been told... she said if I want another hour she can manage to arrange, but what was the point after we've been kicked out, barely had tims to dry our hair to go back get the swimming costume back on. I said is too late and I'll like to pay for spa and leave. she became rude and said I can't do that and I'll need to pay, I respond saying I won't do it and I'll wait for the person who was at reception to ask me this. In that moment she said I need to pay at least half of the price of the apartment as if not will call the police...i said good, ill take my id and leave as I didn't sign nothing to mention that we had a deal but she ask me to wait to make a copy of my ID. Believe it? I said is too late and left but the people I've been with came back to pay as they said they know each other and didn't want to meet in the city and don't want to be pointed up like plans people... Anyway, I never saw in my life such lack of professionalism and definitely the service provided is under, but way under the acceptance. I will nor recommend and I'll make sure I'll pass the message further to anyone who'll...
Read moreLet's talk first about the good parts : it is a relative new location and the rooms are spacious , the furniture while not.... very original is in good shape .The bathroom is ok . The breakfast is very , very good , all traditional romanian cuisine ( same for lunch and dinner ) .Now , the... not so great parts : the price of the accomodation is ....HIGH . If you stay at Miruna 1 the heat in the rooms is ok , but if you stay at Miruna 3 you might have the surprise to realise that the AC is a little inefective ( it takes allmost a day for the room to propely heat ) , There is no proper front desk , a general disinterest from the hotel employess and owners about your general well beeing and i would not recomand to stay there for more then 2 , maybe 3 nights . The reason : the location is a little isolated ( about 9 km from the nearest village ) , there are no shops around and not much to see ( there is a monastery close by, it takes you about 1 hour to see it and the citadel FAGARAS at about 15 km away . Same here , it takes an hour to see ). Ovelall it was not a nightmare experience ....but it was not a place i will remeber with pleasure , or that i will ever consider...
Read moreHave been end of May there with a group of friends for celebrate 41 years from graduation of Technical University of Iași - Construction Faculty, Installations for Constructions.|All of us have had a perfect time of party and, also, it was a wonderful accommodation for brain and body rest. The amazing landscape of Făgăraș mountains with its green forests and snowy peaks delighted our eyes and cleaned our brains. The ozonated air and music of the nature refreshed our body. Brâncoveanu Monastery, a place full of positive spiritual energy, awakened our souls in God. We very much appreciated the food there, which was delicious, with fresh and well-prepared traditional dishes. All rooms were spacious, clean and quiet and have great view towards the mountains. The staff was extremely kind and attentive to our needs. We very much thank to Mrs. Lucia Paler, the manager, for all the effort she made to make us feel like home away from home! Totally recommend this facility and, for sure we ......
