Poiana Vladesei: Where Dreams Come True.

Absolutely everything was beyond my expectations! From my first time speaking to the owner to book this accommodation, I sensed that this place was special. We were 9 adults and 9 children, ages 5-13 years-old. I booked this location to host a Family Retreat for children and their families with disabilities. Trying to book lodging for multiple families with children with special needs is a challenge, not just for finding the space needed (multiple family-style rooms), but also because not everyone is willing to open their homes to these families. The owner immediately set my heart at ease and told me he would do everything possible to make our stay have the best conditions for these families.

Before arriving, I spoke with the administrator of the home, Elisabeta, to discuss meals and menus. From the first words she spoke, I knew she was special. She was so kind, encouraging and so willing to be flexible to the special needs of some of the children. She assured me that we were all welcome and that she would prepare delicious, home-cooked meals with the freshest ingredients.

Upon arrival, I was overwhelmed with the shear beauty of the home and it's surroundings. It felt like I was in a fairytale! Elisabeta and her husband, as well as the owner, were there to greet us with open arms. Elisabeta presented all the rooms and wow, were we overwhelmed by all the beautiful details, including fresh cut flowers in each room. The rooms, especially the family-style rooms, are so spacious. But I was blessed to stay in the single bed room, which has the best feature- a balcony. The beds and pillows are very comfortable.

Meals: We were treated like kings, queens, princes and princesses! Elisabeta and her family are wonderful cooks. Don't miss the fresh pastrav (trout) and mamaliga, as well as the best papanasi I have ever tasted. The fish, milk, cheese, eggs, blueberry jam and more, are all locally-sourced. And the breakfast is truly an ample feast! Elisabeta aims to please everyone's palate. The cas, zacusca and blueberry jam were my favorites. On Saturday, the fathers all grilled in the very special, Grilkota. They loved that unique place.

Surroundings: The location is perfect! The home has a a wonderful yard with swings, a trampoline, a gazebo and of course, the huge jacuzzi. The children really loved all the activities and they could feel that they were truly welcomed and accepted there. We also were able to take a walk through the village to visit Elisabeta (she so kindly invited the children to visit) and then went to pick the most delicious wild blueberries.

I feel I could write 3 more pages, but it still wouldn't be enough. For me, this was my very best experience for hosting Family Retreats (and this is my 8th one). The children were not only tolerated, but truly accepted and celebrated by Elisabeta and her husband. And the parents also felt so relaxed and so spoiled by all the special details Elisabeta added for us. She is a beautiful blessing and the love of God exudes from her. She truly makes you feel that you are special.

I can't wait to schedule another weekend in October so I can return to this little piece of heaven on earth. Thank you for this...

If you want to escape from the busy city life, forget about all the headaches and just enjoy nature together with family and friends than this is the perfect place to do just that.

An absolute perfect location equiped with all facilities you need and very tastefully decorated in a rustic traditional style. Better still the location is fantastically managed with prompt and professional communication from the owner. From the booking process to arranging all the details for the guests invited, everything was faultless.

I strongly recommend to book the place together with meals being provided as the food was delicious and portions very generous.

On our next trip to Romania we'll definitely book this again.

Omul sfinteste locul!

Am ajuns la Poiana Vladesei dintr-o pura intamplare, de 1 Dec, cand am avut 4/5 zile libere si ne-am permis sa alegem o locatie mai departe de unde stam (TM). De obicei pt grupul meu caut sa inchiriez toata unitatea fara masa inclusa astfel incat sa fie o atmosfera cat mai familiara cu self catering si sa nu apara discutii ca am putea deranja pe cineva, noi fiind un grup cu, copii de la 4 la 15 ani.

Ce am intalnit la fata locului a fost cu mult peste asteptarile noastre, totul la SUPERLATIV: de la conditiile de cazare pana la mancare (acceptand de data asta sa luam sejurul propus de gazda: cazare cu demipensiune).

Locatia este perfecta, nu departe de autostrada, un drum de acces foarte bun si multe obiective de vizitat in zona: de la Varful Vladeasa la Lespezi, cascada Valul Miresei, arborele Sequoia.... sunt doar cateva ce noi ca grup am apucat sa vedem.

Cazarea: camerele sunt exact ca in poze! Cateodata la unele unitati mai intalnesti poze din primul an de functionare cand totul era perfect dar cu timpul lucrurile se mai degradeaza, ei... nu si aici. Atentia la detalii m-a surprins: casa nu face nota discordanta la imprejurimi, reda casele traditionale boieresti, lemnul este la el acasa 😊.

Mancarea: la fel ca si cazarea, masa nu s-a lasat mai prejos. Am fost placuti impresionati de Elizabeta si fetele ei (harnice ca niste albine), care nu au stat deloc si au fost foarte receptive la orice vorba aruncata de noi in vant: preferintele(mofturile 😉 noastre in viata de zi cu zi). Au facut tot posibilul sa ne fie bine, RASFATANDU-NE la propriu: lucru greu de realizat la un grup ca al nostru: 6 fam, 11 adulti si 10 copii.

Recomand aceasta cazare impreuna cu optiunea de masa pt ca impreuna se completeaza foarte bine si simti cu adevarat ce inseamna un turismul de calitate si la noi acasa, in Romania.

Revin oricand aici cu bucurie in suflet. Oamenii buni exista, e greu sa ajungi la ei,...
