We stayed here while on our Via Transylvanica walk. We walked from Criț (the first section through cool forest and meadow, the second on an exposed tarmac road with little shade but no traffic). The host is a lovely lady and we were made to feel at home. The one issue that must be addressed is water, especially for those arriving by foot. Tap water is not drinkable. There is no alternative other than purchasing 500ml bottles for 5 lei. Admittedly the bottled water is cold and there's an ice machine. But the price adds up very quickly when you're hot and thirsty. And the price keeps adding when you need to buy water for dinner, in your room and breakfast (no juices or water were provided at breakfast). This oasis of peace is located not far from the main road, yet far enough so you don’t hear any traffic and can fully enjoy the tranquility of the village of Saschiz. The host, Flori, was extremely welcoming, with very positive energy — truly a 10/10! She provided everything we needed for a perfect stay, delighted us with various stories, and gave us all the necessary information. The accommodation was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Read moreWe liked a lot the tiny house in which we stayed. It was clean & cozy, it had a very nice yard/garden, an exterior jacuzzi a.k.a. ciubăr (for which there's an extra cost) and a nice vegetables garden.
The house had a small but comfy terrace and a very nice view.
Florina, the owner, is very nice and gave us a lot of useful info about the surroundings of Saschiz.
The only thing I didn't appreciated was the zice of the bathroom, as it was way to small for a tall guy...
