Pensiunea Violeta — Hotel in Saschiz

This is a very nice smallish Pension and we had the warmest welcome from the owner and her daughter who are delightful. The mother speaks little English but the daughter is fluent and they could not have been nicer or more helpful. ||We had a room with a balcony which overlooked the very nice and well tended gardens and pond and small farm. || The nearby road is quite busy and noisy but didn't trouble us too much in the hotel. || The family did tell us that they were not going to be there over the weekend and the staff who ran it over the weekend period spoke no English, which worried us not at all. They were however, rather less smiley and warm and we wondered what our impressions would have been overall if we had not met the family on check in. || The buffet breakfast was good with the meat fantastic, but was rather slow to refill on both days, which if you are behind a group of very hungry male cyclists is a bit of an issue!!|| However, did very much...

We stayed here for 2 nights. The place is very nice, with a lot of green space, outdoor terrace and two small lakes. Fishing is also permitted, but you need to know that is "catch and release".The rooms are very clean and big, with balconies. The bathroom was very tidy and towels also. The breakfast was great, with home made salami and pastrami, with tomatoes and pepper from their garden. The milk was also fresh, from the their cows.
