Motel Select — Hotel in Satu Mare

This was our second time staying at Motel Select. I love the outside courtyard and the patio furniture outside each room. Rooms are very good value at approx 25€. The rooms are very spacious and nicely decorated. Always very clean with the maid coming every day. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, including the restaurant staff, which is hard to find in Satu Mare. ||The breakfast is expensive at 50lei per room per night. It's definitely not worth it. The food isn't replenished and gets very hot and sweaty sitting out. The fruit is unwashed and over ripe.||I think the motel is in a great location, right in front of it is a petrol station for snacks and ice cream etc. It has a big swimming pool that seems well run but no kiddies pool.||One warning though: be warned that if you visit during summer months there will probably be a wedding on at the restaurant opposite. Lots of loud music until the small hours. It didn't bother us but if you are a light sleeper it would be better to find out in advance.||We will definitely be back, love the atmosphere and facilities. Hot summer, more 30Celsius, the air cooling was really important. The room was relatively modern, clean and well equipped. Modern shower (the tap was partially broken), fridge with cold drinks. The receptionist girl was native romanian, spoke a little bit hungarian and english.

zimmer sind etwas verwohnt (möbel wackelig) aber durch klimaanlage nacht schön kühl (ankunft bei 39°C um 16.00) schwimmbad wurde nicht benutzt. restaurant zum abendbrot, essen war lecker, die bedienung zuvorkommend. das frühstücksbuffet verdient diesen namen NICHT!!! rührei, 3 sorten wurst, 2 sorten marmelade, tomaten, eine sorte käse. das brot altbacken. die "krönung": zum frühstück ist NUR ein kaffe inkl., ab dem 2. muß man bezahlen. da haben wir auf unserer bis jetzt 10tägigen reise schon für weniger oder das selbe geld deutlich mehr komfort angetroffen. nur bedingt bis nicht...
