This pension seems to be the best option considering both price and location on your way to the ice cave of Scarisoara. The owner was helpful and nice. She also speaks English. We were the only guests that night so she gave us a full apartment ( entrance-hall, room, bathroom ). The room was spacious, well organized and heated. The bathroom was also very spacious. Of course instead of the flat LCD TV you get an old fashioned TV on a chair, but we weren't bothered. My girlfriend was amazed that they even have had Hungarian channels. The wifi worked only in the kitchen. The breakfast was prepared from house-made products. They asked us if we were vegetarians so apparently they have different types of breakfast. The owner was very nice, she explained us how to get to the caves. She even offered us to show the way, so it felled like we were visiting some old friends. Read moreWe stopped late in the evening and although the place was closed, preparing for the new summer season, the host gave us two rooms and were very welcoming and apologetic about not being prepared as they should. We went to nearby restaurant Mama Uta for breakfast and dinner but they do serve food made from locally sourced ingredients in the season. What impressed us the most is the warm attitude of the hosts; it felt like visiting family or old friends. They gave us lots of information about the area and places to visit and a map. Rooms have all you need and are very clean; loved the decorations in traditional style. Wifi also good and available in the room....
