Victor — Hotel in Sighetu Marmatiei

It is a wild nature place - exactly what we were looking for. Hosts are nice. Food is good. Bed is clean. Bathroom. . . Well, it exists :) No anti-mosquito meshes on windows.

Cared territory with animals, flowers, gazebo right near small river. There is almost no phone signal. So it is better to call hosts in advance, from the main road. The small road is of course pretty bad (the last few kilometers).

Probably, next time we will prefer something just slightly more comfortable, but overall our impression...

We arrived around 9pm and didn't reserve the dinner but Victor and Maria prepared some delicious fish (caught live). They are verry adorable and friendly and you will find the traditionnal decoration in the living room. ||There are some cute hut to sleep and a place for volley ball...||I recommend this place to all traveller who want to discover speciality for Maramures's region.||And by the way it's verry cheap and the beds...

Estuvimos una semana para pasar la Pascua Ortodoxa en Cabana Víctor y no podemos sino expresar nuestro agradecimiento para con los anfitriones Víctor y Marioara. El lugar es un remanso de paz, volver al pasado: comida casera, truchas recién pescadas, leche de vaca recién ordeñada, queso y pan hechos en casa, y comidas tradicionales variadas, además del folklore y costumbres más arraigadas de Maramures que pudimos disfrutar in situ. La ubicación es perfecta, lejos de todo, al lado de un río, rodeado de montañas y si tienes niños o niña, como fue nuestro caso, disfrutará con la granja, en concreto viendo ordeñar a la vaquita Lola ;))), muchísimas gracias a Víctor por su paciencia para enseñarnos todos los animales un montón de veces, en multitud de ocasiones, y gracias Marioara por tus atenciones y desvelos diarios y el trasiego de comida, volveremos sin duda en otra ocasión.
