Pensiunea Casa Butnarului — Hotel in Stremț

One of the very few available in the area but so so worth every moment. The hosts Maria and Marian and their kids were splendid, helpful and very nice. We ended up getting breakfast as well and it was really good local and traditional produce. They also surprized us with a culinary delight in the evening, not as dinner but as a treat (sweet traditional rolled cake and local salted cheese pancakes). They also have a outside wooden hot watter bath where you can relax in the evening with a glass of wine.Then the area, one of the best i've seen especially if you go into the Cheile Ramet Natural Conservation area. They are spectacular. BRING BOOTS though and be ready to climb and put in a bit of effort to be able to cross them all the way to the other side. De la Brașov venind, pe 23 și 24 august, ca pe vremurile couminste libere, ne-am cazat două nopți ca să vizităm zona. Poziția e excelentă, chiar pe strada principakă către Cheile Rîmeț, deși pe google maps îți dă senzația că e pe un drum lăturalnic. Nu. Doar pensiunea e bine așezată, în spate, nu la stradă. Are 4 camere mari spațioase, excepționale, pentru pretențioși la etajul I (180 lei) și alte 4 la mansardă, pentru cei obișnuiți fără baie în cameră (100 lei). Are ciubăr cu apă caldă de îchiriat pentru 8 persoane, spații generoase. Are ponei pentru copii, biciclete de închiriat, se poate face rafting pe Mureș sau excursii pe coclauri cu jeepul. Dar mai ales are gazde foarte primitoare și amabile, Maria și Marian. Are și posibilitatea de a se servi mîncare ca la restaurant, dar din păcate am ratat, gazdele plecau într-un mic concediu. Data viitoare vrem neapărat! Pînă la superba mănăstire Rîmeț sînt vreo 6 km, drum ușor și asfaltat de bicicletă. Am fost în fiecare dimineață la liturghie. Pînă în spectaculoasele chei ale Rîmețului, mai sînt de la mănăstire pe drum neasfaltat, dar bun vreo 3-4 km. Drumul e îngust pentru mașină, și locuri de parcare extrem de limitate. Lovely Romanian B&B "Pensiunea" in a rual peaceful location not far from Monestry Ramet and Alba Iulia. We stayed here for a few nights and took advantage of the breakfast and evening dinner options.
