Pensiunea La Cetate — Hotel in Targu Neamt

After visiting The Neamt Fortress, a pretty long walk up and down, which usually takes almost 2 hours (depending on how much you visit and how many pictures you take), you usually end up by being exhausted and really starved. As you would not want to be very far away from where you parked your car, you don't have too many options in choosing a place to eat. Actually, I've found only two, right at the basis: Pension La Cetate and Casa Arcasului. The latter one had a cheap appearance and was very crowdy and noisy, because the music was way too loud. And only one free table, which we've decided to abandon by free choice. So we chose La Cetate. I had been there before, but in a different season and too many years ago for me to remember any impression at all. The view seemed pretty nice, it had that traditional style that I like, with wooden benches and not plastic chairs, and overall the terrace looked peaceful and relaxing. There were more available benches, so we chose the one we liked most. The place was getting crowded and crowded after we'd arrived there, that we were starting to think how lucky we were. The food was ok, on average portions, the prices were affordable, but the minuses go for the looong long time waiting for someone to bring us the menus, the food...the dessert (of course) we orderded from the beginning. and not to mention the time we had to wait until they gave us the check we asked for (repeatedly to different members of the staff). We have watched many people from other tables come and go, because they did not have time or patience; and we have heard many orders which were wrong or incomplete.||So, overall, the view is ok, is a nice and cosy place to be, but in my opinion, they don't have enough people working and they cannot handle all customers. Dezamăgire, pe cat de superbă este locația în sine pe atât dezamăgirea a fost mai mare pe parte de preparate și servire. În special servire. Nu sunt ospătar de meserie dar nu e posibil ca la câteva mese pe terasă să fie 3 ospătari care îți vin la 45 min să îți ia comanda. Erau o fată și un băiat neexperimentat (dar nu asta este problema pentru ca fiecare începe de undeva); domnișoara se ,,târa,, printre mese iar băiatul te lua la mișto. Mai era un domn care servea și avea un habar de cum ar trebui să se comporte ospătarii dar indiferent de instrucțiunile lui acești doi tineri luau complet oameni peste picior. Am văzut oameni care se ridicau după 30 min de așteptare pentru ca ei nu mergeau să ducă măcar meniurile. Deși repet ( 1 singur ospătar făcea față lejer le numărul de mese de pe mini terasă) . După un timp de așteptare considerabil au venit cu meniurile, după un număr și mai considerabil de așteptat și după ce am insistat au venit să ne ia comanda ( ciorbă de burtă, ciorbă de legume, 2 cefe pe grătar una cu piure și una cu cartofi prăjiți, murături asortate si 2 porții de papanași ). Ne au adus pâine deși nu am cerut - foarte tare și dulce(menționez acest detaliu pentru ca le-am plătit). Au adus preparatele fără tacâmuri și se uitau la noi de parcă trebuiau să le cerem noi.Ciorbă de legume -acră, fada și fără gust; ciorbă de burtă - nu avea niciun gust cu cea de burtă din zona Moldovei iar burta era foarte tare. Smântână și ardeiul iute s-a achitat separat ( 5 lei smântână și 4 lei buc de ardel iute). Au venit și felurile doi : cefele au fost foarte tari, inițial am crezut ca acele cuțite nu erau ascuțite suficient dar când am degustat mi-au rămas dinții în carne. Piureul era fără niciun Dumnezeu( nu era nici pufos și nici bătut foarte bine pentru ca avea bucăți de cartof întregi - am zis no coment poate era vreo reinterpretare. Singurii care au fost buni de la aceste meniuri au fost cartofii prăjiți și cel mai probabil ptr ca erau din aia congelați și nu au avut cu ce să dea gres, și foarte bune au fost murăturile. Papanași nu am consumat dar soțul și soacra care sunt mare fani și iau de la toate restaurantele de la care mergem au spus ca au făcut răni în cerul gurii de la cat de tari erau . Experiența este una foarte dezamăgitoare , în special cu ospătarii pentru ca se spune ca omul sfințește locul: acei ospătari făceau exact contrariul alungau toate picioarele de om ce le treceau pragul. Au mare noroc de locație - stau pe o mină de aur și nu știu. Menționez ca nu dau recenzii negative decât în cazuri...

We went to the hotel's restaurant to eat something and the waiter recommend as to move to another table because he didn't want to clean, to dispose the table, from the previous customers in not a polite manner, actually pretty rude. We did tell him we choose to seat at the dirty table because is was the only one which hadn't a reserved note and we thought we could stay only there. We expected him to clean the table but he offered us to stay at the reserved tables because he wasn't in the mood to clean a table, though it was part of his job and when we said why he went there he said angrily: "Well I did offer you a clean table" and simply left. No menu was brought and he didn't care about us....
