We arrived at the hotel on a very hot evening only to find that there was a small FAN in the room and not an air-conditioner as advertised. No manager to speak to but the very polite receptionist explained that only a few rooms are air-conditioned and are occupied (by the managers) The hotel has been completely renovated ,the double bed we ordered was a twin single , the shower is complicated -advanced model for experiencd plumbers which overflows, linens are not changed only every day towels and one small throw-away packet of shampoo but the mini fridge was good.,But, after an excellent dinner which was of 5 star quality and very low prices ,we strolled around and were amazed by the colourful garden, the quiet and relaxing atmosphere ,the view of the open fields and mountains with sheep crossing in the early morning sitting on our balcony and drinking coffee we bought from the nearby supermarket-"Kaufland" and lidl store. ||Located on a gravel side steet with swimming pools for adults and children off-center Turda with good public transportation to all the important sites in the area.Only 5 minuite walk to bus station opposite Kaufland.Taxi service is prompt and ordered by receptionist for 2 lei per km- very cheap.||We found a good deal with a private driver called RADU -ALEX see my review for Turda with tel and e-mail. ||The staff are very nice and polite but hard worked by the managers that treat them like slaves.||All in all, if you are prepared with your shampoo and other items you may need to be more comfotable you will not be...
Read moreThis property had the basics and was not expensive by Australian standards. However, I did not think it was particularly good value in comparison to other hotels in Romania. I would say it was a three star, not a four star, as advertised, property. Our room had a ceiling which sloped to the eaves with a beam across the foot of the bed. Unless he walked to the other side of the room, my husband had to bend almost double in order to walk to the rest of the room.(These rooms were not shown on the internet side we used, so ask for a room on the first floor) The staff we had contact with spoke only minimal English. We had some difficulty finding the hotel without a GPS. On the upside, the room was quite large, had air conditioning (although did not seem to work well) and free internet. We had a very reasonably priced meal In...
Read moreWent there with my family on August 4, 2016 and was greeted by the receptionist with "we do not have what we booked - double room - but if you do not like it you ca leave". Not to mentioned that I was changed double the price displayed at the reception and when asked why I got the same response “take what we have or leave”||Everything was terrible - the room was dirty from walls to bathroom and really unsafe (a wall plug was out of the wall leaving the electrical wires exposed). When we spoke with the manager he said "you could fix the wall plug yourself, just push it back...". I can only say I was shocked by every single aspect of my stay. ||I will never go back and would not recommend anyone to book a room there. A review of one star is too much for...
