This pension seams to be great from reviews and photos but is not.||First of all, I contact owners to inform them that we will come with a dog, medium size. He said that everything is alright so we book an apartment at attic (2 rooms, 1 leaving and balcony) because we were 2 families and I saw in pictures that these rooms have two separately entrances from leaving.||When we arrive they were very surprise of our booked arrival and that be brought a dog. They said :"please be careful with that dog, we also have one free". ||The apartment was not like in photos made some years ago. From this the made one apartment and a separately room. Our apartment doesn't had a living anymore; from a room you can go in another one and the sheets and floor were dirty.||In the garden the playground was destroyed, wood remain was moldy. For passing a small lake was a scale cover with some boards not fixed. Was a watchtower in the three inaccessible. Was a covered place to stay in the garden but was also a death rat there. The pool which was supposed to be heated was dirty and maybe some frogs in it. ||We refuse to stay there. I don't have high standards but this place...
Read moreWe stayed at this lovely pension with a family of five (kids: 12, 10 & 7 yrs) at Daru's place for 3 nights in July 2016.|Well, unless you have a weird preference for anonymous hotels or an outspoken dislike for mountains, this is just the perfect spot!!!|Where to start? Well, first of all, Daru, his mother (Babushka) and his 11 year old daughter Aleksandra gave us a first class warm welcome. Whatever you asked them, they arranged for it with a smile. Add a lovely garden, a nice swimming pool, Babushka's excellent kitchen (please, don't be foolish and just say yes to whatever meal they suggest, you won't regret), great mountain views, ...|You know, we were unlucky, cuz it rained every single day. So we couldn't continue our dam building in the river, we would have loved to explore the mountainbikes more, ... But hey, we didn't regret our stay a single minute. Plenty of space to hang around and Timisoara is an easy 90' drive.|So, looking for a nice spot to stay a day, a few days or even more than a week, stop searching, book now and you won't regret it!|We continue our 5-week Balkan trip now and just hope the next places will be as good...
Read moreI've been to Gasthaus Maria in Borlova, Caras-Severin and I was disappointed. I saw some good reviews on Trip Adviser and Booking and I expected to be a quality place. But it isn’t!||Let's start with the good parts: prices are low (50 euros per room per night), the surroundings are great, the road is good, the sheets are clean. ||Parts to be improved: the garden is a construction in progress, the pool is dirty and unfinished, the owners have noisy friends, I waited for food more than an hour, the restaurant is full of flies (there are more flies inside than outside), scrambled eggs are full of oil, the house wine is awful, the bottled wines are very cheap, terrible coffee, dirty glasses, no cash register machine and the staff (owners and their parents) have no experience in tourism. If they do not quickly hire some professionals they will have more unhappy customers. So then fake reviews made by friends will no longer...
