This place may have had its charm once, when it was new, but sadly, it has not been well maintained. As of summer 2025, the overall state of the cabin is quite disappointing.

What didn’t work for me:

The rooms lack air conditioning. While that might usually be acceptable in a mountain setting, I stayed during a heatwave and found the room uncomfortably hot.

No mini fridge in the room, which means you have nowhere to keep drinks or food cold.

Although our room had three beds, it had only a single power outlet – not even enough to charge three phones at once.

The bathroom was in poor condition: dirt around the drain and vent, rusty radiators, mold in the corners, and very cheap fixtures.

The room’s interior was unimpressive and lacked taste, with visible hanging cables from the TV.

Noise from outside (barking dogs, roosters crowing) made it difficult to sleep with the window open – especially at night or early in the morning.

What I appreciated:

The location is undeniably beautiful, surrounded by nature.

The staff was friendly, though clearly not professionally trained in hospitality.

The food was tasty, even if the menu was quite limited.

Conclusion: This property falls short of a true 3-star experience. Even a 2-star rating might be generous in its current condition. With some care and investment, it could be a pleasant retreat – but for now, it needs serious...

I mention from the beginning that this comment refers to the restaurant in the Veverita cabin, not the cabin itself. Today we went to visit the Paltinul dam area and above, upstream, the Teșila, Trăisteni area. We had learned that in the Teșila area, a specific type of cheese/cheese called "Cascaveaua" is produced. Asking left and right we managed to buy 2 kg (2 wheels of cheese) from a local producer. Price 60 lei/kg. Being hungry, we asked where we could eat in the area and were directed to the Veverita restaurant, about 3 km from Teșila. We arrived quite quickly at the location, which is located on a small slope. The restaurant menu is very diverse, the food is very tasty. Even if the restaurant doesn't look good and deserves a renovation, we were left with a very pleasant impression. Even the prices are more than affordable (compared to the Sinaia -...

The food was not tasty - the soups were 5/10 ( beans soup and tripe soup), the polenta with egg and cheese was awful - the polenta was too dry, the cheese was not traditional cheese, it was some cheap melted cheese, and my husband had sausage with French fries, i had a piece of sausage and it had that taste of being kept in a freezer for days. The service was not ideal either, our order was mistaken twice, the ladies doing the orders were tired and not content at all, not to say the restaurant was FULL. technically they are supposed to be operating at 30%, or let’s say -50%, but no. Full. No disinfectant, no hand soap at...

A retired and quiet place. We only came here for lunch, so I won't say anything about the room. There is a parking lot - we got the last empty spot when we arrived. The service was ok, nothing trained or special. The coffee was ok-ish. The food arrived in about 30 minutes since ordering and had that traditional taste. The restaurant needs some look improvement: you can see the glue left in the walls and you miss the view of the valley because of those curtains. The overall experience was good.
