The location is good and the food was delicious. However my bathroom was not cleaned: the sink had dirt stains and it stinked, the shower as well was not clean so in a 2 nights stay I was unable to have a proper shower, the toilet better not to mention. All seemed just like someone have passed a dry cloth all over the sanitaries without an effort to scrub nor to put a drop of cleaning solution. The bad smell was spreading in the room which was in any case decently clean. I took pictures of all this and I will find a way to make them public, but not because I can't understand that someone can make a mistake but because I refuse to accept the attitude of the host. I arrived on Friday at 9.30 PM, so I prefered to wait till the morning to ask for my bathroom to be cleaned, but the day after I have received a rude attitude from the host and no appology for having to pay for a dirty bathroom. The lady just said: "what do you mean it wasn't cleaned?"And as I insisted I want to take a decent shower, she said "I will send someone". And that was it. I trusted she will. I was out for a walk till around 3PM and when I came back, what do you know? My bathroom was exactly as it was when I left in the morning. Well, at that point I understood this was the first and the last time I"ll stay at Stejarul and I said nothing more. The morning after at check out, the only thing the lady had to say to me was "goodbye!", no thank you, no nothing!! Just to be clear, I have worked in hospitality for almost 6 years and I know what this kind of mistake means, but not accepting it and not caring for your guest it's the biggest mistake. The bad attitude towords your own guests it's unforgivable. There are planty of beautiful places and great hotels around Romania. Next time I will give others the opportunity to offer me a clean stay and a "thank you for your visit"! I would not recommand...
Read moreWe went there as a group of about 5 families with kids.||||We had a lovely stay, it was great! The area is fantastic, forest all around the facility. ||||The rooms were clean, the food was good (breakfast ought to be a bit more diverse, but other than that I have no comments) and the staff very friendly and welcoming.||||The kids were delighted as they had pony rides and used the zipline. They liked the outdoor hammock and swings. Also they had pleanty of space to run around and play outside.||||They have a nice wooden hottub with saltwater that we, adults, loved. The kids liked it ok, but not being a larger pool, they were bored preatty fast.||||The facilities include outdoor grill, closed terrace, parking lot, wi-fi.||||Also the staff is very friendly and they try to make things happen the way you want, all you need to do is bring your suggestions to them and talk them over.||||Reaally nice location for families. Good...
Read moreI was at "Stejarul" along with friends and we had a very nice staying. The host is very welcoming and customer oriented. Rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. The location is great near the end of the village, at the forest edge. The guest house has everything you need and a lot of small attractions you may like ( stable with domestic animals, birds; small bath with mineral water ( heated at request); tree houses; walking paths through forest; barbeque corner). We took all the rooms that day and the host stayed with us all night long ( just in case we need something - very nice). Next time we will plan something like that we will chose...
