Pensiunea Carla — Hotel in Zăvoi

This weekend , as an aftermath of 2 weeks of holidays (after a week in the office) we went with some friends for a relaxing weekend to Poiana Marului. The accommodation of choice - Pensiunea Carla (Carla Guesthouse) so here are the findings. ||As you arrive to Poiana Marului after a few hundred meters as you pass the road sign with Poiana ... you will see on the left side the sign "Pensiuna Carla" , and you can park your car in the courtyard - or if that is full right next to the fence there is another parking lot belonging to the same guesthouse , so there is no issue to park your vehicle. ||The guesthouse is relatively small - 12 rooms - 24 people capacity ... the rooms are simple but very comfortable and suiting the purpose - in the end you came to the area for the mountains, the lake and the fresh air, not to spend the time seating in your room. Room and bathroom sparkling clean and with a small balcony where you can sit and smoke a cigarette (the rooms are none smoking) or just sit and enjoy the view and some of the freshest air in whole Europe. ||They got a generous courtyard area where the kids have a playground - and they also have a small pool in the courtyard and a tennis ground if you feel like playing. ||Is a family own and run business, the owners are great people, very helpful if you need any information about the surroundings. And they also are running the restaurant at the guesthouse and the service in the restaurant is also great. ||Watch out - the restaurant last order is 21:00 ... is not open later in the night - the menu has some very good option - everything we had was excellent - the food is simple but very tasty and the portions are hearty, so nobody lives hungry ||About the quality of the restaurant the tell tell sign is the fact that for lunch and diner the terrace was full - guest from other guesthouses in the area were also coming here to grab some food - this is telling you something about the quality of the cooking, since the majority of the restaurants in the area have restaurants. ||And you can pay with credit card - no issue - or cash ... ||The price to quality ratio is excellent - either for the restaurant either for the accommodation. They are open for guest from May till October. ||Overall a great place - we had an excellent stay - great location run by great people .. definitely will be back. Excellent location for its class - is listed as a 3 "daisies" (being a guest house in Romania there are not stars used to mark the class but "daises") and definitely is one of the best guest guesthouses I stayed in the past 5 years... So if you are planning to go to the area and you need a place to stay - remember "Pensiunea CARLA" , I recommend you...

Lovely place to relax and spend some time in nature.Easy acces from the main road .The staff is very nice and helpful, food is awesome,rooms are clean and confortable .In the surrounding areas you can find many places to visit even if you go by foot.A pound is very near 5-6 minutes walk .,Only 3 km to an old church...all in all if you're not a mountin person but you like to spend time in nature in a quiet place you choose the...
