Cetatea Craiului — Hotel in Zona Metropolitană Brașov

Although the rooms were quite large and very clean and breakfast was nice, it's a total rip-off for the money (45 EUR per night per double room). I stayed there for 4 nights during a festival weekend in Rasnov, together with three more friends. The worst thing was that on the third day the hot water stopped running from about 10 AM to 5 PM. When we spoke to the host about this, she said that people usually take showers before 10 AM - well, not in 4-star accommodations, they don't. I bet not even in 2-star ones. Having hot water is not a luxury, it's a necessity! Even when the hot water was running, the pressure was really low. Instead of the fancy showers that the rooms are equipped with, the host should've invested in a central heating unit of a greater capacity, that would be enough to cover the whole establishment. Free Wi-fi is mentioned in the hotel facilities - on the second floor our phones didn't even detect a wireless network, let alone connect to one. We were advised upon our arrival that we should be careful not to stain the wooden furniture, but only a couple of see-through paper coasters were provided in the room. Also, nobody came to clean the rooms in neither of the four days of our stay there - although in the first two days we had heavy rain and the ground got really messy everywhere. We took a lot of care ourselves to keep the floors of the rooms clean. Apart from that, nobody came to re-stack the bathroom with toilet paper, we had to ask for it. There was a gazebo in the yard, but there was no light in it so you could only stay there by day. One of the rooms had no mosquito nets, so all kinds of insects could get in the room. The breakfast was great, but what captured our attention was the way the host spoke to (or better yet, snapped at) the lady who took care of the breakfast area - one of the most polite and kind persons we had met - maybe she was the reason for the 4-star rating. Am cautat să-i găsesc minusuri critice, dar din păcate, nici proprietarei nici pensiunii nu i-am găsit nimic care sa nu-mi displacă. Pensiunea este pe câmp dar îți reflecta o priveliște frumoasa către Bucegi și Piatra Craiului, siiiiiii ești departe de zgomotul rutier, departe de aglomeratia turistica din stațiuni, la 15 minute de Poiana Brașov sau de Bran. Am găsit o gazda primitoare, niște doamne drăguțe care cautau să îndeplinească toate doleanțele în tot sejurul cât am stat. Curățenie în camere dar și în toată pensiunea, amenajată cu bun gust și întreținută cât se poate de bine până la cel mai mic detaliu. Sejurul nostru a fost după Revelion (pensiunea a avut căldură suficienta), și am fost întâmpinați cu amabilitate și mâncare bună (au un frigider cu vinuri, bere, sucuri, chiar și vin la carafa) . Mic dejun gustos cu produse tradiționale locale, cină la cerere, în funcție de ce-și dorește fiecare familie (păstrăv cu mămăligă și mujdei de usturoi, pui la cuptor cu piure). Per ansamblu, este o pensiune pentru orice tip de familie cu copii sau tineret, ai restaurante în Râșnov foarte calitative fata de Bran sau Poiana, supermarketuri tot în Râșnov, preturi ca la restaurant la mâncare dar cu porții generoase, o carafa mare de vin 25 lei.
