We have been here for two nights, last weekend, 3 families all with children. Two families got the attic rooms and the other one, with 2 children a room at the first floor. I would divide this review in two parts - starting with the good one: good location, nice atmosphere at ground floor where the relaxing and breakfast areas are, a warm feeling coming from the wooden structure of the building and an OK attitude of the personal (neither very welcoming nor sourer); breakfast was good, better then other similar places, with a decent variety of foods and good atmosphere. Not the bad parts: although the reservation for the family with 4 was made for a double bed and one extra for the kids, the room had only two small separately beads; they solve this problem by adding a small camping bead and by uniting the two individual beads but a couple of hours latter that the arrival. The attic rooms, although advertised as 30 square meters rooms where incredibly small, no more then 12-14 square meters, with a double bead that occupied almost the entire room; the space left in the room was comprised of a small TV stand with a very small TV, a chair, two glasses, a waste been and a small locker. The bathroom was ok, small but OK. Also, in order to get in the room you had to go down the stairs in the room which contributed to the very small space left for going around in the room. Also the walls were very thin, made of dry wall over the wood structure, so you could here anything coming from the next rooms. Having kids with us was quite a struggle due to the lack of space left in the room. Overall, for 2 nights, it was an average experience, not to be repeated here at Edel House, advertise as a...
Read moreThis is practically an update to my previous review from last year. Given that we were pleased with the accommodation last time, we chose this hotel again for our stay (I'm still convinced you can't find anything better than this, about ). Yet, when I made the reservation, I was informed that the only rooms that were available were those in the attic. I agreed, not knowing what they looked like. Well...compared to the spacious room we received last year, this one was very uncomfortable. I also believe they should charge less for the attic rooms, given that they do not offer the same comfort as the ones on the lower floors (the charge per room is about 42.5 Euro).||||When you open the door and enter the room, you have to mind your step, as there's a rather big and steep flight of stairs waiting for you. The room itself was small, with not much room around the bed, The bathroom was clean and well supplied, and the overall cleanliness was as expected, so no complaints there. Breakfast is included in the accommodation price, and we had a copious breakfast (plenty of food to choose from, even for skittish kids), taking into account that we were supposed to be heading for the Dino Park afterwards. ||||Compared to our previous stay, I would rate this year's experience here as average. I will keep in mind for future visits here to avoid the attic rooms. Big thumbs up for the staff, though, they were very...
Read moreI have visited them after I have recommended this location to a lot of friends or business owners. I left a presentation of the products I am importing and the second day 7.55 in the morning I was called by the owner to be asked if I have spoken with him if HE needs the products?! WHAT?? I was really surprised and asked him if he was arguing with me for the fact that I have spoken with the lady chef and left some papers over there?! The answer was:"YES, you should have asked me!" I understand now why the lady chef was so timid!||Nice place, but when you do not trust the people you are working with....little by little you will not be able to be everywhere in organization! In my 20 years of selling products and services this was the worst...
